Fighting Liliana

Chapter Twenty-two

"Let's go, Lil. Get up.", I hear Vinny yelling. "I'm sleeping.", I tell him. "I don't care, we have to practice.", he says. I don't move, so I feel my mattress being tilted and I go flying to the floor. "Vincent!", I yell. "I got her up, Parker!", he yells and starts walking back to my living room. I get up and stomp to the living room.

"Are you serious?", I ask Vinny and kick him in his knee. "First of all, ouch. Second of all, what are you five?", he asks me. "I was sleeping.", I pout and sit on Parker's lap. "We have to get you ready to fight, Liliana. You have to beat every competitor, to get to Mya. You know this.", Parker says. "Fine", I say and walk back to my room to change.

"Put that aggression in practice today.", Nate yells from the kitchen. "You can't see it, but I'm flipping you off.", I yell at him. I put on my Under Armor sports bra on, my workout leggings, and put my under armor jacket on over it. I walk to the living room and put my sneakers on.

"Ready?", Vin asks. "Whatever.", I say walking to the car. "Liliana!", Parker snaps. I look at him, give him a fake grin and then get in the backseat of the car. He rolls his eyes at me and then walks to the driver side. I hear Parker's phone start to ring while it's connected to the cars Bluetooth and it reads "Charlie".

"Hey man, what's up?", Parker says. "Hey, Parker. I've been calling Liliana all morning and she hasn't answered. Today's the day our parents died in the car accident.", he says. Parker puts his head in his hands and then looks at me in the rearview mirror. "Fuck. I totally forgot, man. Thank you.", he says and hangs up.

"Now, it makes sense.", Nate says. "Your parents would be so proud of you, Liliana. You don't let anyone push you around. You've got a great group of friends, you're smart, beautiful, and talented.", Vinny says. "We are all, so thankful for you.", Parker says. "We love you, Lil.", Nate says. "I love you, guys, too.", I say crying.

"That was beautiful", Cierra says walking over to us with Gigi. "Why do you always pop out of nowhere?", I ask her. "I don't know", she shrugs and laughs. "We love you, Lil.", Gigi says. "I love all of you guys.", I tell them. "Let's go kick ass.", Parker says. "Meet you guys for dinner later?", Gigi asks.

"Yeah, of course.", I say and smile at her. I watch Gigi and Cierra walk away and I smile. I really do have the best friends ever. New and old ones. We pull up to the boxing gym and we walk to the elevator, so we can head downstairs. We start practicing and it's going really well until I hear my name. "Hey, Liliana.", Josh says.

I turn around quickly and back up into Parker. "Get the fuck away from her before I beat your face in.", he says and gets in front of Josh. "Is this the guy?", Vin asks. Nate nods his head and Vinny punches him in the face. Josh falls to the ground and Vinny keeps kicking him in his head until Parker and Nate pull him off.

"You can't get arrested man, Lil needs you.", Parker says to him. Vinny spits on Josh and then kicks him one more time. "You'll always keep your fucking hands off of her, or I'll kill you myself.", Vinny says in pure anger. "Vin, calm down.", I say in a quiet tone.

He looks at me and his hardened expression quickly softens. I hug him and he wraps his arms around me. "We'll always protect you, I promise.", he whispers to me. Parker smiles at us and then turns back to Josh. "Why are you here?", Nate asks him. "I'm here for my girlfriend Mya.", he says and spits blood out. "Of course, you're dating her.", I say sarcastically.

"There's my, Lil. The same feisty Liliana, I loved.", he says looking at me. "You never loved me.", I say angrily. He gets up and walks close to me and Vinny quickly pushes him back. "I'm not scared of you anymore, Josh. I'm not scared of your girlfriend either. ", I say getting in his face. "Good. I don't want you to be afraid of me.", he says and walks away while looking at Vin.

I grab my phone and dial Charlie as quick as possible. "Hey, little sister. You okay?", he asks. "I was, but then I saw Josh.", I tell him. "Where?", he yells. "The gym. I'm with Vinny, Parker, and Nate. Don't worry. Vin beat the hell out of him too.", I laugh. "Good. I love you! We're always going to get through life together, little sis. Scott said he loves you too.", he says.

"I love you both. I'll talk to you later.", I say and hang up. I walk back over to the boys and see that they're all fuming and angry. "What did I miss?", I ask. "Somehow Josh talked Stephen into defending his title against him before the competition.", Nate says. "What? Can he do that?", I ask. "Yeah, he really wants to fight Vinny. I think I'm going to fall back and just let Vin do the competition.", Parker says looking at me.

"Are you sure, dude?", Vin asks looking at him. "You're the best fighter, and I'm sure you want to finish beating the fuck out of him.", Parker says. I look at Vin, and he gives me a smile. "Let's finish these two fuckers off, Liliana.", he says and gives me a high five. We spend the rest of the day practicing and when we're about to leave, I see Mya.

"Hey, Liliana. Heard you were talking to my boyfriend. Stay the fuck away from him.", she says and gets in my face. "I don't want your boyfriend, Mya. If you're into the type of guys that like to rape and hit on girls, then you can have him. You're on your own.", I say and push by her with my shoulder.

"By the way, Liliana. I'm sure your parents are so proud of you. They did die on this date right? Too bad you didn't go with them.", she says. I turn around and grab her by her hair and put her in a headlock, and she starts squirming to get out of my hands. "Liliana, let her go! We aren't downstairs.", Parker yells.

I ignore everything that he's saying and keep choking her. Vinny, Nate, and Parker are trying to pull me off, but they can't. I drop her and I walk out of the gym with everyone staring at me. I walk outside and let the breeze from the wind hit me and I definitely needed it. "Liliana, you cannot do that.", Parker says and sits next to me. "I'm sorry.", I say and look at him.

"It's okay, Lil. We just don't want you to go to jail or get in any kind of trouble.", Nate says and Vin nods his head. We get in Parker's car and start heading home when I see cop cars in front of my apartment complex. I jump out and run to my apartment to see everything is trashed. "No!", I cry and fall to the ground.

My mom and dad's stuff they left me are all ruined. Their vases, their glasses, everything. "Liliana, do you know who could've done this to you?", a voice asks me and I instantly recognize that it's the cop from when I was arrested. "Officer Hendricks, right?", I ask him. "Yes, ma'am.", he says and smiles softly. "I know exactly who did this, and I'm going to kill them for it.", I tell him. "Liliana, stop talking.",Parker says.

"Liliana, who did it?", Officer Hendricks asks me. "No one.", I say and smile. "You can leave now", I tell him and the rest of the officers. "Liliana, I know you're upset, but you have to let us handle it. You can't take it into your own hands.", he says. "Stop telling me what to do and get out.", I snap at him.

He sighs and tells everyone to leave. "Stay out of trouble, Liliana." Officer Hendricks says and walks out. "Liliana, you can't say shit like that to the Police.", Nate says.  "I have a camera in here. I'm sure we all know who did, it. I have proof though.", I say and point to the corner of my ceiling that has a camera in it. They all smile at me and I have the best idea ever.
