Fighting Liliana

Chapter Twenty-three

"What the hell are you saying, Lil?", Parker asks me. "We have to let Mya get away with what she did to my apartment for a little while.", I tell him. "Absolutely not, Liliana.", he says loudly. "Parker, if she goes to jail, I'm not going to be able to fight her.", I tell him. "Who cares?", he asks me.

"What do you mean who cares?", I ask him angrily. "Liliana, if she's in jail, then you don't have to worry about her anymore.", Nate says. "She doesn't want to let their feud end like that though. I can't blame her for that.", Vinny says looking at them. "Thank you!", I tell him. "No doubt, tomboy.", he says and punching me on my shoulder. I give him a weird look and he laughs.

"So, what's the plan since you two are so sure of everything?", Parker asks us. "Well, pretty boy. We let her get away with it until after Liliana beats her ass in the competition. Once Liliana is done with her, then we can turn her in.", Vinny says with a smirk. "Nice, Vin.", I say and high-five him. "You two are annoying as hell.", Nate says.

Vin and I look at each other and burst out in laughter. "It's a best friend thing.", Vin says and throws his arm around me. "Alright then, we'll listen to you two. If something happens to that video or Liliana, I'm going to be pissed at the both of you.", Parker says looking at me and Vinny. "Pretty boy, nothing is going to happen to Liliana. She has three big dudes around her, who she doesn't even need. The girl kicks ass without the help of you, Nate, or myself.", Vin says to Parker.

"You're right. I'm just worried about her.", Parker says looking into my eyes. "Everything is going to be okay, Parker.", I say to him and give him a hug. "We going to watch Stephen and Josh's fight tonight?", Vinny asks us. Nate and Parker both look at me, and I roll my eyes. "Yes, we're going to watch it guys. I'm okay.", I laugh. I walk away from them and Facetime Cierra. "Hi, bff best bitch", she says answering the phone.

"Hi", I laugh. "What's the plans for tonight?", she asks me. "We're going to go see if Josh is actually going to beat Stephen or not, you in?" I ask her. "Yes! I'll swing by and get Giovanna on the way and then we'll be there.", she says. "Okay, see you then.", I say and hang up. I walk into my room and go into my closet and grab my pocket knife and put it in my combat boot. "Glad to see you're prepared.", I hear Parker say from behind me. "Just in case.", I say and look at him with a smile.

"Let's go get pizza, losers.", Vin says and we all agree. I walk outside to see Gigi and Cierra walking upstairs to my apartment. "Turn around, we're going to get pizza.", I tell them. "Yay, pizza!", Gigi yells and runs back down the stairs. "Congrats, Gigi. You officially love pizza more than Nate does.", Parker laughs. We all walk to the nearby pizza shop and order two pepperoni pizzas.

"So, Lil. Are you okay with everything that's been going on?", Cierra asks me. "Yeah, I always feel safe. I have Parker, Nate, and Vin being my eyes and ears when I'm slacking off.", I tell her. "Good", she smiles. We eat our pizza and then we head to the gym. I walk hand and hand in with Parker, Vin is on the other side of me, and everyone else is walking in behind us.

We all get in the elevator and head downstairs. When we get off of the elevator, I see Josh and Mya staring at us, and I smile at them. Mya rolls her eyes and Josh looks caught off-guard. Vinny walks by Josh and Josh moves to the other side of Mya which causes me and Vin to laugh. "Why are you so scared Robinson? I didn't even give you a full beatdown yet.", Vin says laughing at him.

"Fuck you, Vinny. I'm not scared of you.", he says and gets in Vin's face. Vinny jumps at him and Josh jumps back and I start laughing even harder. I pull Vin over to the rest of our group and he looks down at me with an amused expression. "What?", I ask him. "You're just like me. I think that's why we're best friends.", he laughs. "Duh", I laugh with him.

"Tonight we've got Stephen Walters defending his title against Josh Robinson. He's the boyfriend of the women's champion, Mya Bridges. Normally we wait until the competition week for our champs to defend their titles, but I guess Stephen isn't worried about Josh.", the commentator laughs.

The match starts and Josh throws a punch at Stephen and Stephen ducks, punching Josh in the ribcage. Josh then flips Stephen over and kicks him in the face. Stephen gets back up but falls down because he got too dizzy from being hit in the face. Stephen slides his feet under Josh's, causing Josh to fall to the ground. Stephen gets on top of Josh, and throat punches him.

I see Mya say something to Josh and I roll my eyes at them. Josh quickly gauges Stephens' eyes and then suplexes him on the concrete. Josh gets up and finishes Stephen off with a high knee, to the face. "Josh Robinson, everyone! He did it! He'll be defending his title at the competition, in two weeks.", the commentator yells.

Josh walks over to Vin and points at him. "You better hope you aren't next.", Josh says and grins. Vin lunges at Josh, but Parker pulls him away before he can connect. "Save your energy for next week, man.", Parker says to Vinny. "Thank Parker for saving your ass, Robinson. If it weren't anyone between us, I would've knocked you the fuck out.", Vin tells him.

We leave the gym and we all head back to my apartment. "You should've let me kill him, man.", Vin says to Parker walking in my living room. "What would that solve, Vin?", he asks him. "It would solve him being a terror to everyone on this earth.", Vin says. "Parker's right, Vin. You really need to be ready to beat everyone next week, so you can actually fight Josh and kick his ass in the competition.", I tell him. "I hear you, Lil.", You're absolutely right.", he says looking down at his shoes.

"You're going to have the time where you get to beat the fuck out of him, Vin. You just have to be patient.", Parker says. "I'm sorry guys, I'll chill out. I just hate that he hurt you, Lil.", he tells me. "Me too, but he's going to what he deserves Vin.", I assure him. He smiles and then gives me a hug. "We're so proud of you for being so strong, Liliana.", Cierra says to me. "I wouldn't be so strong if I didn't have you guys.", I tell them truthfully. "I don't think that's true. I just think it would've taken a little longer.", Nate says.

"You guys are the best.", I tell them. "You know what this calls for right?", Parker asks. "Group hug!", Gigi screams. We all get into our signature group hug and start laughing. "We're going home, Lil.", Cierra says. Her, Vin, Gigi, and Nate all walk out, leaving Parker and me alone. "Are you doing alright, Parker?", I ask him. "Yeah, I just hope Vin wins because either way. We're going to have to deal with Josh.", he says. "He's going to win, Parker. Don't worry about it. Everything's going to work out.", I tell him. I hope it's true though.
