Chapter 14

*Fletcher*

Alexis has been ignoring me completely, for the last two months again, and I'm getting tired of us fighting. It's also summer break and we only have a month left. I was hoping I'd be able to spend some time with her.

'No after the way you just stood there, without expressing your love to her. All she ever did for you was show you how much she loved you. Do you remember those videos and care packages she sent you each month she was gone?' The voice in my head started to say.

Yes, I do.. And I was a coward.. I backed out of telling her how much I love her, and she ran away from me.

All I wanted from her was a chance.. I had the chance so many times, but I let her slip away. This time, I'm not gonna let her slip away. I'm going to try and try as hard as I can till I can't fight for her anymore. No matter how much she hurts me.

"Fletcher! You've got company!" My moms voice sounded from downstairs.

"Send em up!" I yelled back.

Then my door opened, and it was my mom. "Honey.. It's Karen."

My heart sinks, and I just look up at her,"Tell her to go away."

"Honey, just go talk to her! Walk her on the trail and see what she has to say." My mom whined.

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever."

She gave me a weak smile and I waved her off.

I got up off my bed, slid my shoes on and walked down stairs.

"Karen." I said in a harsh voice.

She stood up from the couch and turned around, with a small smile on her face. She runs over to me and engulfs me in a hug. And to tell you... It was the most awkward hug I ever had.

"It's so good to see you." She said into my chest.

I pried her off me, and walked outside to the back trail.

"Fletch! Wait!" I heard her yell, running behind me.

I just kept walking and then I reached the trail. "I thought I told you not to call me Fletch! No one can call me that besides her!" I yelled behind me.

I came to a stop to let her catch up.

"Fletch, let go of her. She moved on. You have to move on too." She said softly.

I gave her a confused glare,"What do you mean she moved on?"

She sighed,"And the reason she's ignoring you is because she took the summer tour.."

My eyes widened and my heart almost stopped.

"What do you mean she took the tour?!" I screamed in her face.

Anger came over her face,"Look buddy!" She said, pushing me once.

"She took the tour because she wanted to! She doesn't need your approval! And when I said she moved on, I wasn't thinking right! Blake went with her but I'm pretty sure he's gay! So man up and wait for her last tour date, which is here at home, and talk to her then! Just stop getting mad at everyone else because she's not here! I mean, if i was her, even if I didn't take the tour, I'd still ignore you! I know everything you put her through and what you said to her?! When you were hating her at school and thinking you were the most popular piece of shit at our school! No. You were just one of the many assholes at our school, who thought every girl would love them. Well get your damn head straightened back on and look at reality! If you don't get your shit together soon, then she'll be gone forever! Out of your reach!" She screamed back.
