So many things were rushing through my mind as I walked up the steps and into the house. The door slammed behind me and a voice called from the kitchen.

"Alexis?"

I ignored the voice and continued to saunter down the hallway to the bedroom. Throwing everything on the floor of the closet, I walked back to the bed and grabbed one of Brandon's shirts that was on the bed. Suddenly, two strong arms wrapped around my waist, locking me in.

"I was starting to worry you left me." His saddened voice whispered in my ear.

"Why would you think that?" I asked, still not looking at Brandon.

"Because fletcher came over here looking for you." He said, gently kissing my neck.

I turned to face him, still locked in his arms, and I could see him now. He was shirtless, his hair was looking as if his hands kept going through worryingly, his lip was busted open but not bleeding, and he had a cut across his cheek. His eyes were filled with sadness, hurt, and pain.

My eyes widened at what he's looking like right now. "What the hell did he do to you?!"

He looked into my eyes, "He threw the first punch. I hit hit a few times back and then once again, I tried a truce but he walked out of the house."

Anger began to build up inside me and I pushed out of Brandon's grip. I grabbed my purse off the floor and grabbed my phone, dialing the number.

"Hello?" Her sleepy voice came through the phone.

"Mom. Sorry, did I wake you up?"

"Alex! No.. No. What's the problem?" She asked.

"Uh, we'll you see, Brandon's hurt, and I need you to come look at it." I whispered.

"I see." She let out a soft laugh. "I'll be there soon."

"Love you" I called out before she could hang up.

"Love you too sweetie." She said before hanging up.

I set my phone on the table and took a look at Brandon, who was now laying on the bed, groaning.

"Please tell me he didn't.. Um.. You know." I asked.

"Yeah he did knee me, your mom isn't checking that part. Not gonna happen." He mumbled.

I let out a tiny laugh, and then I just caught myself standing there watching Brandon almost fall asleep.

"Come here." He said.

"Where?" I played dumb.

He got up from and sat at the edge of the bed. I walked towards him and stood in front of him.

"What do you think our future will be?" He asked, looking up at me with a shine in his eyes.

"What do you mean?" I asked, not getting where he's coming from.

"I want us to be together." Brandon took my hands in his.

"We are together silly." I gave him a smile.

"No, not like that." He said, clearly trying to find the rights words. He got up and paced the floor.

"What I mean is that I want us to be together as one. A ring on both our fingers to prove we're together as one. I'm not saying we get married now, or that I'm proposing to you right now, but what I'm saying or trying to say, is that I cannot bare to know what my life is without you in it. God, when you left New York City, I wished I would've stopped you with everything I had in me. When I saw that you were getting back with fletcher, I finally broke. Man, I feel like I'm talking how girls talk to their boyfriends." He laughed. "I just want and need you to know that I can't live without you Alexis. I may not be the perfect guy, or I may not be fletcher, but I am a man that is in total love with you."
