Here's your request, @deadfan1032 ! I got back from London a while ago so I decided to get this request done before my friend and I either sleep or stay up all night lol.

A little shorter than most of my works because I'm only spending an hour writing each request then editing them as quickly as possible to try and get them done. Also, the pic is one I took from my bedroom window lol.

Couldn't think of a song so I pulled one out of a fandom (IF YOU LIKE TURN: WASHINGTON'S SPIES, MARRY ME PLS)

Qotd: Have you ever been to London? / Do you want to go there? (I've been so many times lol, I went to the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square today with a friend)

"Connor!" The (h/c)-haired female snapped as she grasped his arm in her hands, tugging him backwards.

It was a hot summer's day and the pair of Assassins had been so close to catching Charles Lee at last but he was better guarded than they had anticipated. The sun belted down onto them as the carriage fled down the road, kicking up a cloud of dust as it went.

The half-native fought against her iron grip, determined to catch his target despite the fact he had successfully got away by now. She dug her feet into the ground, tugging him towards herself as she turned him around to face her.

"Ratonhnhaké;ton!" She raised her voice, snagging his attention with her sharp tone and the use of his birth name, "He got away for now, ok? But we will get him another day." Her eyes flickered down to a tear in the shoulder of his Assassin robes and the bloodstain that was blooming across the white fabric. "You're hurt."

"That doesn't matter! I could have got to him if you let me go!" The mocha-eyed male pulled away from her, throwing his hands up in the air.

"The only thing you would have got is yourself killed." She replied coolly, trying to calm the situation.

"He killed my mother, (Y/n), I have to get him!" He growled, still fuming over the fact that his target had escaped.

"And I didn't get my sister's kidnapper the first try but he is dead, killed by my blade, to this day and Anna is safe." She replied, "You must lose battles to win wars, Connor." She pleaded as she gently laid her palm against his upper arm. "We'll lay low for a while, tend to your wounds and let them heal, gather information on Lee's whereabouts, formulate a new plan and end his life. But that day is not today. Please, listen to me." She spoke. Her calm tone and soft touch helped to ease his anger, though, it could not eliminate it.

"You're right." He huffed out.

"Thank you." She smiled comfortingly before she turned on her heel. "Come on, we can bandage up that wound in the barn that we left the horses in on the way here." She continued as she began retracing their steps. Twigs snapped under her worn leather boots as she made her way through the trees.

The canopy of leaves overhead created a welcoming shade overhead from the hot sun as the two Assassins made their way through the woodland. They walked in silence - the (h/c)-haired female wanted to give her fellow Assassin some time to think over her words and to accept the fact that he had been defeated that day.

Birds and other small woodland animals made small rustling noises in the underbrush and leaves as they wandered through the forest, kicking up tiny clouds of dirt with each footstep as they went.
