February 11th, 2013 a week after the Smythe family home explosion
3 POV:
It was the day of Hunter Clarington's trial. Everyone was on nerve especially the New Directions. Sam and Blaine we're heading over to Dalton Academy to pick up Trent for the trial.Blaine POV:
Sam and I had been at my house all night preparing for the trial thinking about all the possible outcomes. We had gotten very little sleep because of nerves and ended up watching the news most of the night. Only one story really interested them it was about a home in Sydney Ohio, that exploded last week. From what we heard before we had fallen asleep was that there was only one survivor a boy celebrating his 18th birthday while the rest of his parents perished. So sad.We were approaching Trents room hearing hushed whispers from a few doors down. Thinking nothing of it we kept walking. When Trent's roommate Thad left his room closing the door and locking it behind him.
"Is Trent in there we need to make sure he's ready for the trial." Sam asked Thad who was frozen after seeing us standing before him.
Thad looked confused for a minute. I began to think that he didn't know what we were talking about before his face turned to realization. "Oh no. He's in the room down the hall. Dorm d37. I would be quite though."
Confused we nodded and walked down the hall to door d37. Once we got there we realized this had been the door the hushed whispers had been coming from. I glanced at Sam before slowly raising my fist to the door and giving a light knock taking Thad's comment to consideration. There was a pause before we heard slight shuffles of feet on the floor. The door creaked open before the face of Trent slowly peaked through. Once he saw us he paused and hesitated before opening the cautiously opening the door enough so he could slip through before coming out.
Once he was out of the room he slowly closed the door leaving it open a crack. He pulled us away from the door. "What are you doing hear." He whisper shouted.
"The trials today what are you doing your supposed to testify" I said.
"No it's not Hunters gone at rehab he confessed to being guilty last week and told the judge he was going to go to rehab with the penalties of not joining anymore performing clubs. He FaceTimes us occasionally from rehab it's not great but it should get better." Trent explains. There's a whimper and Trent glances at the door. "Look guys the warblers have already talked to the show choir counsel and forfeited their going to call you soon to tell you that you're performing at regionals because we gave you our spot now please leave."
There's a few more whimpers before we hear a bang. Sam and I flinch at the loud noise but Trent just glances at the door nervously before looking at us and stating "look you guys should just go you got what you came for." Before quickly opening the door one closing it shut.
Knowing something was wrong I quickly ran to the door knowing it automatically locks I hoped this was one of the older door that if you push the handle to the left, pull up, and then twist the handle to the right it unlocks. Luckily it did and we got in but I was surprised at what's as on the other side of the door.
The end
Jk
On with the storyOn the other side of the door was SEBASTIAN???
Sebastian didn't look good he was asleep tossing and turning in bed. His face was covered in scratches and bruises, stitches running from his right eyebrow to the bottom of his ear. On his left arm was a black cast running from his hand past his elbow his other arm in a sling. The rest of his body was covered in sheets as he wriggled in bed having what looks like a horrible nightmare. He looked horrible.
Trent was leaning over him a hand on his chest the other in his hair whispering sweet nothings into his ear. Slowly Sebastian's nightmare disbursed and he was sleeping soundly. Trent adjusted the chair I just realized was next to his bed sat down and rubbed a hand down his face the other still in Sebastian's hair.
"What happened to him." Sam asked making me jump as I forgot he was here.
"You might want to sit down for this," he stated as he gestured to the bed on the other side of the room. We sat down and he sighed. "On February 4th Sebastian was home waiting for the party to start. He was already miserable as a few years prior his older brother Tyler died on this exact day. His family was all coming Paris and all as an 18th birthday is a big thing in his home as it means he could join of one of the family companies either his mothers fashion company which he was planning, his fathers company which was a law firm and a few others but when everyone was downstairs except him as he was in the basement in his room the house exploded..."
"Leaving me the only survivor, well if Hunter didn't get me I wouldn't be here but...yeah," Sebastian said interrupting Trent.
Sebastian winced as he sat up and adjusted himself his eyes rimed red and filled with pain. Trent hurried to help him the rest of the way. "Trent I got to use the bathroom, Sebastian stated.
Trent gave a short ok before helping him to the bathroom now that the covers where off we could see the rest of the damage Sam gave a sharp intake of breath. His chest was wrapped in bandages he had burns scattered and cuts scattered around his body but what was horrible was his left leg it was only half there.
"Thanks," Sebastian whispered in a voice that made me was to die, the voice was sad and depressed.
Sebastian shuffled in bed after using the bathroom. "Blaine can we talk in the hall." Trent asked after Sebastian was situated.
To be continued.
