Millie

Come to find out Finn's little group was a lot bigger than I thought it was. Once we got to wherever it was Sadie had demanded we be taken, she immediately strutted from the car and to the huge mansion in front of us.

Huge is an understatement when it came to the white, marbled mansion looming up at me like it could swallow me up in a bite. "Who lives here the Kardashians?" I found myself asking as we climbed the half a dozen steps leading to the house.

Sadie laughed dryly. "Might as well be, posh." She reached for the doorknob, twisting it open, and walking in like she owned the place. "This house belongs to the Buckinghams, one of the richest families in the country plus Canada."

I watched as she flopped down on the overstuffed couch like the owned the place. I opened my mouth to speak, but before I could the sound of heels tapped on the tile flooring.

"Sadie, darling, have you brought me a new play toy?" A blonde headed girl appeared at the top of the stairs, her curls spilling down her chest-which was barely clothed in a black halter top. "Because this last year has been boring."

Sadie barely looked up as she shuffled through the magazines on the coffee table. "She's Finn's girl, Lilia, so I wouldn't try anything. Where's Noah."

"He's asleep." Lilia said with a slight smirk, taking the stairs with all the elegance of a royal.

She stalked toward me in six inch heels and a tiny black leather skirt, sizing me up carefully. "Finn did good this time didn't he?" Lilia smoothed my hair back behind my ear and smiled. "What's your name, lovely?"

"Millie." I told her calmly. To be honest, I wasn't sure about real life Barbie yet.

"Cute name and accent." The blonde backed away from me. "Tea?"

"Thanks and please." I sat down next to Sadie as Lilia disappeared into the kitchen. "What's her deal."

"Lils?" Sadie questioned, shrugging a shoulder. "She'll grow on you."

Yeah right, Barbie didn't seem like the person I wanted to get to know anytime soon. She seemed like the kind of girl I would avoid in the halls at West Creek High.

I just wanted Finn here.

"Mom, come on!" I pleaded. "I've been good and you know I'm just gonna go back to normal so why can't I leave like everyone else!" I ran a hand through my dark curls out of frustration.

This was so unfair. She was being completely unreasonable about the whole situation. Everyone else got to leave so why can't I?

"It's just the right time yet, kid." Mom was using the same excuse she had been since I was six and told her I wanted to go with her on the drug run. "Besides David probably wouldn't agree."

I held back the urge to ask her if she knew how stupid she sounded at the moment. David Harbour was practically wrapped around Mom's little finger. How else would she have gotten a nurse job being a criminal and totally unfit to be a nurse to mentally ill teens.

"Seriously, just work your magic on David like you have been for over a year now." I sighed. "I wanna go home to my own bed and be with my crew."

Mom thought it over a few long minutes, the stress and concern written all over her face. "Fine pack your bags but-"

"Yes!" I was up out of my seat before I even heard the but coming. "What is it?"

"I want you to leave the Brown's girl alone." Mom stated. "You can go, but when you get out forget about this wild little romance that you thought would last. Do I make myself clear?"

I nodded-not that I meant it-and went for the door. "Yes, Ma'am, I understand."

No way in this world that Millie wasn't the first thing I was headed to the minute I was out of this God forsaken place. No matter who thought otherwise.
