Millie

I've been here a week now and I definitely can tell you not all the moments I've spent here are bad. But this isn't my life nor my scene. I should be at home right now making cookies with Ava and arguing with Romeo about which team will win the football finals.

I shouldn't be sitting here waiting for Noah to return so we can play cards and waste our lives away until Winona calls for dinnertime.

Nevertheless, here I was seated in front of the brunette boy with a Uno stack separating us.

"I don't get it." He was still talking about why they only served mac and cheese on Thursdays-I don't know why he's complaining it tastes terrible anyway. "I mean they have the noodles and the cheese back there everyday so why not just serve it breakfast, lunch, and dinner?"

Behind us the rhythmatic beeping of the padlock on the door sounded cutting me off before I could argue his ridiculous idea.

"Is he arguing about macaroni again?" Sadie said, entering through the door. "N, baby, you gotta give it a rest." She crossed the and crawled onto the bed.

Noah smiled at her. "I'll give up when the cooks finally give me what I want, Shady Sadie." He said, looking down at his cards once again.

The redhead wrapped her arms around him from behind and pointed at one of his cards. "This one." She said then kissed his cheek.

He laid the cards down and I groaned. "Really, Sades?" I rolled my eyes at the draw two card and did as told.

"I'm sorry, honey." She didn't look sorry as she sat hidden mainly behind her boyfriend.

I rolled my eyes. "Okay whatever you say. Just win the game already so we can go eat."

"Fine." Noah laid down his card and we got up for dinner.

Winona walked up to our table at lunch the next day with a smile on her face. "Miss Millie, you've got a couple visitors waiting for you in one of the visitation rooms." She informed me with a slight nod of her head. "He's pretty cute too."

I gave her a look of confusion for a moment and then smile. I knew who was here and for some reason it made me excited.

Looking across the table, I spotted Finn glaring at his fish sticks like they had just insulted his  precious leather jacket.

I wonder what ticked him off all the sudden, a moment ago he was laughing at something stupid Gaten had said.

Standing up, I followed Winona out of the room and to a small room down a hall I had never seen.

"Through here, you've got an hour." Winona unlocked the door, waited until I was in, and shut the door back.

Sitting in the box widow was a brunette boy I hadn't seen in far to long. "Millie, my love, how are you?" His British accent sounded like music to my ears at the moment.

"Hey." I couldn't help but smile a little bit as he wrapped his sweater clad arms around me.

"How are you hanging on?" Romeo asked, squeezing me a little closer.

"I've been better, Ro, but not everything is terrible. I've made a few friends." I answered then buried my head in his shoulder.

Romeo kissed the top of my head and sighed. "Well I brought something that might make you feel a little better, love."

I pulled away to look at him. "Yeah?"

"Mills?" A small little voice that sounds similar to mine said from behind me.

"No way!" I squealed and turned around, dropping to my knees in the process. "My baby girl." I wrapped my arms tightly around the small blonde child.

"Millie." Ava threw her arms around me and buried her head in the crook of my neck. "Come home already."

Blinking away tears, I stood again and collected her in my arms like I used to when she was just a baby. "I wish I could, sweetheart, I so wish I could."

We stayed like this the whole hour with her in my arms and them filling me in on the outside world, but it was over far too soon.
