Millie
"Romeo, I told we are never going to be that way." I pushed him away. "Stop trying to kiss me."
Maddie had left me with a drunk Romeo and he was anything but a gentleman. She promised not to do this, and yet she had.
He opened his mouth to say something, I cut him off. "I'm going to go find the bathroom." I lied, leaving before he could reply.
The house itself looked so familiar to me and yet like I had never been there at all. I wondered up the staircase and into the less crowded upstairs.
The rooms were surprisingly nice for something on this side of town, in fact, the whole place was. Pictures of two little boys and a little girl littered the walls. They looked so happy and peaceful in every photo like as if the photographer had taken the shots at just the right time to capture a perfect moment in their lives.
As the photos progressed the older brother disappeared and the photos became less happy until they disappeared completely into a blank yellow wall.
Muffled cries came from the bedroom at the very end of the long hall. From the room where the pictures faded out.
The door was open a crack to reveal a girl and guy kissing. Correction the guy was kissing, the girl was trying to fight him off of her.
"Excuse me!" I pushed into the room.
He turned to me expressionless. "Can we help you?" He asked dryly.
I looked at the girl and swallowed hard. The blonde girl looked so scared, her green eyes wide with panic. This was the girl from the pictures, but the bedroom door had read JACK in blue foam letters.
I couldn't let this happen, not here or in this room. "Yes, I need to speak to my friend and I'm positive you aren't suppose to be in her room." I said, my voice wavering ever so slightly.
He rolled his eyes and pushed away from the wall. "We aren't finished here, Lilia." He threatened her as he left, making sure to bump me on the way out.
The girl I assumed was Lilia slumped down the wall and began to cry. "Th-thank you." She let out shakily.
I crossed the room and sunk down beside her. "Are you okay, Lilia?"
Lilia shook her head, leaning her head on my shoulder afterwards. "Millie, right?" She wiped her eyes. "Finn's obsession."
The last part was quieter and seemed to be an afterthought but it was enough to make me remember why she looked so familiar.
"That's my sister." Finn leaned over my shoulder to point at the girl beside Noah in the old photo. "Well adopted sister, but I don't believe in adopted making us not family."
"Are you two close?" I looked back at him.
He nodded. "Extremely we grew up together and have never left one other's side until now, of course." He laid down again, eyes fixed on the ceiling. "It's my job to make sure nothing happens to her, Brown, she's fragile."
I had understood what he meant because of being so close to Ava, but sitting here with Lilia made me realize he meant fragile in several ways.
She had been the girl here when Sadie and I came even if she acted like a completely different person than she had then.
I held her closer, not caring as she soaked my dress with her tears. "Let it out out, Lils." I whispered softly, rubbing her back. "I've got you."
"D-don't l-lea-leave m-me." She stuttered out, gripping me closer.
I kissed her head in attempt to calm her. "I won't."

"I'll kill him."
I chuckled at my best friend's words. "Calm down, Noah, we have to be smart about this. Oleff has a lot of pool on the rich people side of town and we can't upset that just yet."
"But he hurt Lilia and that is a crime worse than death." Noah spat.
I was pretty sure he had a huge crush on the blonde, but he would never admit it especially to me. "And I agree but tonight Wyatt was gone before I could even reach him, which means he knows we're looking for him." I explained. "He'll go back into hiding unless he thinks otherwise."
Noah nodded slowly. "Should I go check to make sure Lilia is safe in her room?" He questioned.
"Yeah go on, I'll go attend to the party guests." I stood and made my way for the living room once more unaware of what had happened above our heads.
