Chapter XXIV

"BANA..."

"Bana what?" She asked Siegfried sweetly. He's been with her for an hour. Ayaw pa nitong umalis sa tabi niya. Umiiyak kapag sinusubukang kunin ng Tito RJ niya.

She also feel attached to him. Ngayon lang din siya napalapit sa bata. Wala naman kasi siyang pamangkin pa. Malabo naman na magkaanak ang Kuya niya. Kung meron mang bata sa kanila nasa Bulacan iyon at malayo sa kanya.

"Bana..." ulit nito at may kung anong itinuro.

Sinundan niya ng tingin ang tinuturo nito. She smiled. "Jake, banana please."

"Bana!" Siegfried shouted and clapped his hands.

Natawa siya dahil doon. He looked so cute. With his small gestures, her heart is melting for this cute little boy more and more.

"Spoiled, huh." Jake remarked. Inabot nito ang isang pirasong saging sa kanya. "Am I pretty?" tanong nito sa bata.

Siegfried shook his head and hugged her. "Moster," he said. Nagtakip ito ng mga mata.

She laughed out loud because of that. Siegfried called Jake a monster. Sumimangot ang pinsan niya dahil sa sinabi ng bata.

"Manang-mana sa pinagmanahan."

Tinalikuran sila nito at bumalik sa sofa kung nasaan din si RJ. Nakita niyang natatawa at naiiling na lang ito.

"Yung pamangkin mo mana sa Tatay niya." Jake retorted. Padabog na naupo ito at sinamaan siya ng tingin.

She shrugged her shoulders then attend to the little boy. "It's okay," she said to him. Tinanggal nito ang kamay sa mukha. "Tito Jake is not a monster."

"No," umiling ito at lumingon kung saan nakaupo ang pinsan niya. "Moster," he whispered like it was a secret.

Natawa na lang siya. "Here. Eat this." Binalatan niya ang saging.

He bit a little. "Yum," he said and smiled at her.

He is so sweet. Lagi itong nakangiti at nakahalik sa kanya. He even called her Mama, kahit na sinasabihan ito ni RJ na Tita ang dapat na itawag sa kanya. Kapag sinasabihan ay iiyak ito at yayakap sa kanya.

"You like banana?" she asked.

He nodded enthusiastically. "Yes. Bana wav." He munched cutely.

She smiled while watching him. He looks a lot like Richard. Well, RJ too technically because they are twins. But the way Siegfried moves reminds her of Richard. 'Yung pagiging sweet and touchy, ganoon din ang ama nito.

"Have some more." She helped him eat.

"Tenchu," he said after he finished eating the banana. He then yawned.

"Sleepy?" she asked.

He didn't answer. Basta sumiksik na lang ito sa gilid niya. He then closed his eyes. Maya-maya lang ay mabini na itong natutulog. She smiled to herself and combed his hair.

RJ walked towards them. "He's asleep already."

She just nod and she kept her eyes on the sleeping little boy. He could have been her son, kung hindi lang sana nagloko ang ama nito. He could have been her own blood. Kaso malabo na iyong mangyari.

"Is he two already?"  She asked out of curiosity.

"He just turned two last month."

She nodded. "He's so adorable and charming," she said while a smile was plastered on her face. "Most of his traits were like Richard. I just hope he'll grew up to be loyal and faithful."
