"So, did you have fun last night?", I ask my brother Gabriel, as he stumbles out into the kitchen in his usual bathrobe and slippers.

He yawns and nods.

"Yep. Did you, Cassie?"

I nod back, not able to help the smile that appears on my face.

My cheeks feel hot than, and I grab the edge of the table for support.

"Aw, is my little brother blushing? What happened? Who was it?"

I shake my head at him.

"It was no one, Gabe."

He laughs, taking a seat next to me.

"Sure, Cassie. Whatever you say."

Gabe than gives me a knowing look.

I sigh.

"It is not like that. I just went to his house, that is all."

My brother freezes and nearly drops the pitcher of milk he is holding onto.

A few white drops drip down onto the checkered tablecloth.

"What do you mean? Who's house? Who was it?!", he asks, excitedly.

I laugh, grabbing the pitcher before he can drop it and and place it on the table near me.

"Well, if you really must know it was a guy I have seen before. We went to my house after and we just talked. It was harmless fun, really. One of the Winchester brothers. Dean, I believe his name was?"

Gabriel nods than stops and asks: "Did he have a black 1967 Chevy Impala? Might've called it: 'Baby'?"

I nod.

"Yes, I believe so."

Gabe thinks for a second than nods.

"Yep, that was Deano. What'd you guys talk about?"

I smile and want to scold myself for it.

I am acting like a teenage girl or something.

I mean, it was just a talk.

Nothing THAT special.

Just a talk...

Of course I am lying to myself again.

It was not just a talk, it was chance to become better acquainted with Dean.

A chance for him to make amends about what happened at that diner.

I sigh.

The whole experience was actually quite new and foreign to me, scary even.

It has been many years since the whole 'Balthazar thing' and I am only now starting to get more confident.

Comfortable around other people, even.

"The usual stuff. He apologized about the way he acted to my confession. Said that it was all okay. We had a beer together on the couch, that was it."

He nods, smirking slightly.

I roll my eyes, than slap him, lightly.

"It is not like that at all, Gabriel."

He sighs.

"Okay, Cassie."

Than, he reaches across the table and grabs the pitcher near me.

He pours some of the milk into his empty glass and takes a tentative sip.

"Phew, it's still good. I was afraid we might need to get some fresher stuff."

I nod, tugging lightly on my trench coat.

I must have went to bed still in it, the alcohol/soda stained t-shirt still on as well.

As are my dark blue jeans.

"Did you have fun?", he asks, as he flips through the morning paper, not looking at me.

Smiling, I nod.

"Yes Gabe, I think I actually did."

He looks up than and smiles.

"I'm very glad to hear it, Cassie. I told you going to the party would be a good idea."

I laugh.

"Yes, I suppose you did."

With that, he gets up and goes back into his room to get dressed.

I stay sitting at the table, drinking some of the milk that I pour myself, and contemplate last night.

It was fun.

Dean and I talked for a long while about really not that important stuff and drank beer on my couch.

At one point, I even got to hold his hand, just for a moment.

We had sat there together, on the couch, just like that until he noticed how dark it had gotten.

I remember watching him leave, driving out into the night.

His car enveloped entirely by the dark sky.

There were no stars that night because, they were all in his eyes.

Okay, that was really cheesy.

But, it is true.

I told myself countless times after Balthazar that I would not do this again.

Fall for another who would most likely break my heart.

But sadly, I think I am falling again, anyways.

And, it will not end well...
