"Dean, can I talk to you about something?", my ex-girlfriend Lisa tells me, as I'm walking towards the door.

I had told Cas that I'd meet him for lunch.

"Uh, sure, Ms. Braeden. What is it?"

Her falls, (probably because I didn't call her 'Lisa') and she sighs, sitting back in her desk chair.

I slowly take a seat across from her in a random kid's desk.

"For starters, I just wanted to apologize. I'm sorry about the fight we had and all. I really do miss you, Dean, and I'm willing to try again if you want. Perhaps, maybe things would work out?"

She looks hopeful, almost like she thinks all accept.

I shake my head.

"I'm sorry about everything too, Lisa. But, I can't. I no longer feel a connection to you anymore and besides, I'm kinda already in a relationship."

I hope against hope, that she won't ask me about it.

It's not something that I would like to mention to her, especially since she probably doesn't know them that well.

But, just my luck, Lisa straightens up in her chair at that, and looks at me with a curious expression.

"Oh, really? Who's the lucky young lady, than? Is it someone in my class?"

I nod slightly, biting my lip.

My cheeks are starting to heat up.

She smiles at me, one hand propped up against her chin.

"Who might she be? C'mon Dean, I've known you for a while now, you can tell me."

But, I can't.

She mustn't know the truth.

If Lisa knew, she'd laugh in my face, and tell everyone at school.

Than, people would bully me and Cas.

I can't have that.

I'll just have to make something up...

"It's Charlie.", I say, trying to keep my voice calm.

"Charlie Bradbury. You know, red hair, bright eyes, likes to do experiments and hack computers?"

Lisa nods, smirking.

"So, Charlie, really? How'd you to start dating?"

My heart is pounding in my chest from nerves, all I wanna do is leave and go meet Cas.

"Uh, we got talking one day at lunch. She said that she liked me send I said that I liked her, and we hit it off from there. She's really great and all. I think I might ask her to the spring formal."

She nods, one hand now placed carefully on her stomach.

Lisa clears her throat and flashes me a fake smile.

"I'm happy for you, Dean."

I nod, watching the wall clock behind her.

Tick. Tick. Tick. Tick.

"Can I go now?"

She nods.

I get up to leave, but a hand stops me.

"And, Dean?"

"Yeah?"

"Tell Charlie I say hi."

"What took you so long? Lunch is almost over.", Cas says, grabbing my hand and pushing me out the door, towards the school yard.

I sigh, trying to think about what to say.
