Chapter 4

Critical logic may be the answer, but
the essence of courage shall be your power.

It's so dark...

Where am I?

I can't see.

I started to move my limbs, luckily I'm not tied up or anything. I was sitting on a chair.

Feeling my surroundings, it feels so cold... and quiet. I kicked something in front of me... Uhmm... it's a table I guess. A familiar situation.

Suddenly,

"Hello? Anyone? Where am I?", a female voice in distress and confusion like I am.

*Skrrrt* The seat pushed back as the girl stood up, "Help! Anyone?! I can't see anything!", she cried.

I still can't see anything. I heard a thud. "Ugh!", she tripped I suppose.

She screamed in frustration, "WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!"

...

*click* The blinding lights turned on...

I saw other people sitting in chairs as they wake up in shock.

They panicked.

"What's happening?"

They demanded.

"Where am I?"

They feared.

"Mom? Where are you?"

They confused.

"Why are we here?"

They cried... tons of voices in distress overlapping each other. It's so noisy.

...

I decided to keep quiet and analyze what is happening.

I looked around while they panic. There is at least 10 people. They all look like at my age. The walls are pure white, doors are flush and seats aligned like a...

Wait. I know what this is. This is a classroom!

I guess everyone here didn't remember how they got here.

All I remember is that I was walking to my supposedly new highsch--"Good day students...", a mysterious voice echoes the walls.

"Students?"

"We're students?"

They keep panicking, crying and yelling.

...

"Please sit back down to your seats.", the mysterious voice requested. This is giving me some Saw vibes.

Everyone finally sat down and went silent. I can feel our hearts beating out of everyone's chest.

Then, the voice said, "All of you will be having your test."

"Test?"

"This is crazy!"

"What test?"

Hmm, I guess it's obvious now...

Registration is not over yet.

...

*tshhhh* The 'classroom' started to fill up with thick fog. I literally can't see anything. Though something bright somehow appeared above my head and slowly landed on my desk.
