It was dark, rainy, and grim. I just thought it was another empty night. I wish it was, I wish it were. But it wasn't.
Julian had sent that letter a week ago. I wish I'd have come earlier. I could've of spoken to him. Before that day. That grim day.
"I'll surprise him," I thought mischievously. He loved a good joke. I went to his work place. It was early morning by the time I got to town. Julian worked the night shift as a guard to a museum. He loved visits from his little sister, so I intended to give him a good one.
I walk into his office, like I had a thousand times before.
"Julian! It's me, Ezzie." I said. I look and see him facing his desk in his chair.
I roll my eyes and say, "Sleeping on the job, eh? Shame on you..." I scold. I walk over and turn him around in his chair. I jump back at the sight of my brother, dead, with blood running all through his shirt.
Written with a knife on his skin was "Anthem, remember that."
I fall to the ground, tears run down my eyes. I scream-
"Gyah!" whines Lucy. Lucy sits with a notebook and pencil in bed vigorously writing and erasing things. Natsu lays down next to her, burying his face into his pillow.
"Would ya go to bed already?" he moans.
"I am 'in bed', just let me finish this chapter first..." she says.
