Sylvie had only been in the guild perhaps two weeks, officially that is, but Nashi couldn't help but feel that she'd seen Sylvie more times in just that week then she had all year. There was one obvious guilty party, and that seemed to be Marigold.

If she saw Sylvie, surely Marigold was beside her. It was frustrating, to a certain degree, but she liked to think it was just Marigold being hospitable to a new member, as Nashi and her friends had been towards her. However, another part of her worried that just maybe she and Sylvie were actually becoming...friends.

Nashi wasn't the jealous type, she just couldn't stand Sylvie. Also, she was really jealous of her.

She found herself a bit blessed to find that Sylvie hadn't arrived at the guild that morning, and still hadn't arrived into the afternoon. However, she hadn't seen Marigold either.

Returning from the job postings, she saw her brother and Gideon having a drink at a table near the center of the hall. She approached quickly, instantly dropping her basket of fries onto the table before going towards Liddan to ask, "Have you seen Marigold?"

"No," he answered promptly.

"Then where is she?"

"How should I know?"

"You're the one always stalking her," she sat down beside him, looking towards Gideon, who had a bit of a nervous expression. "What, what's wrong?"

"Oh, nothing," he laughed, but in a really awkward that made it more than obvious he was hiding something. It only took a look from Nashi to break him. "Okay, I know where she is, I think."

"Oh, okay," she spoke cautiously, popping a fry into her mouth and chewing it slowly, "What? Is she on a job?"

"Eh," he crossed his arms, slowly moving backward as if to get out of the blast zone. "She was over at the house this morning...picking up Sylvie."

Nashi felt struck, as if an arrow had made its way through her chest. "To...to do what? Did they go on a job? A walk--" she suddenly lost her cool, leaning over the table suddenly and grabbing Gideon by the collar, "--tell me already!"

"They went shopping!"

Nashi gasped, releasing his collar suddenly, "Oh my gosh...I can't believe it."

Liddan was shocked too, but mainly because he was the only one who didn't get what the big deal was. After a moment of silence, he found it appropriate to ask, "What?"

"Marigold never went shopping with me," she exasperated, "this is a clear sign that our friendship is maybe only an acquaintanceship at most."

"Okay, shopping isn't code for something, is it? We are talking about the act of buying things?"

"Nothing cements friendship like shopping," Gideon explained, "it's the perfect place to get to know someone. You learn about their tastes, style, and there are so many things you can bond over by complaining."

"If you share a dressing room, then you're really in."

"Wait, girls share dressing rooms?" Liddan asked, suddenly interested. "Okay, I'm interested, let's go."

"Why would Marigold take Sylvie shopping and not me?" Nashi put her hand to her heart, "I mean, I may not be the girly-girl, but I'd go for her."

"Maybe it's because you, I don't know, wear the same pair of pants and shirt...all the time," Liddan intervened. "I don't think I've seen you wear something else in....no, I have only ever seen you in this outfit. Were you born in it?"
