Calum and I talked the rest of the night; going on topics from soccer to our life goals.
We played 20 questions and I got to know who the real Calum Hood was. I found out that like me, his favorite band is Greenday and that he actually likes to read.
I also found out that he is a sensitive guy. When I brought up the topic of his sister and his mom, you could see the love light up in his eyes when he talked about them.
I told him about my mom and how it was just the two of us. I mentally thanked him for not going into questions about why my dad wasn't around anymore because I wouldn't know what to say.
He cheated and had a baby with another women while he was still married? He moved halfway across the country with his third baby on the way?
I came back to reality as I saw we were pulling up to my house. Calum reached for the radio to turn it down and cleared his throat.
"Did you have a good time?" He asked, looking straight into my eyes.
I could tell he wanted tonight to go good for some reason but it made my heart flutter that it seemed to be his goal.
"Yeah, it was great. Thankyou a lot Calum."
"Maybe we could do it another time?" His cheeks turned red when he said this, showing a weakness.
I smiled big and nodded, "that would be great."
We said our goodbyes and I opened the car door and walked up towards the front door. I was about to walk in when I heard Calum shout wait and the sound of a door opening.
I turned around only to be embraced in a hug by Calum. After a second, I wrapped my arms around his waist and we stayed there for what seemed like forever. There was no noise, no people, just us.
He released me from the hug and looked down at me. "I hope you had a good time."
He bent down and kissed me on the cheek slowly, then turned around to jog back to his car. Once he got in, he waved goodbye, and took off down the street.
Leaving me with my hand on my cheek where his lips just touched, and my stomach doing spins.
-
I woke up to my alarm clock telling me it was time for me to go to soccer.
Normally I would have to drag myself out of the bed and take twenty minutes but today I felt more on my toes.
I picked up my phone and walked to the bathroom to turn on some music while I shower when I saw a text message.
'Morning lovely. x'
Though it was a small gesture it made my stomach fill with butterflies. I didn't even like Calum three days ago, who knew he would cause this.
I got in the shower and washed off, then got some shorts and a t shirt on, then left to go to the field.
By the time I got there the girls were on the field passing back and forth. I got out of the car and waved, receiving hi's and hey's all around.
"So, how was last night?" Marcie came up to me as the other girls started shooting practice.
I smiled and nodded, "it was great Marc. Calum's not really I expected him to be."
Jordan ran up to me and grinned, resting her arm on my shoulder. "You were right Marcie."
Marcie giggled and spun around in a circle, showing off her girly side that drove me nuts but was also cute at times.
"What?" I asked, curious as to what she meant.
She began walking away but turned around, soccer ball in hand and smiled.
"You're falling for him."
so sorry for not being on much, I've been super busy. While I'm here, you guys probably know how much more readers have been reading soccer stars recently and it warms my heart.
As much as it does though, I don't appreciate receiving almost ten messages demanding me to update. I write because I enjoy it, not because I have to.
Also highschool is a time where you need to get good grades for colleges and what not and I also play volleyball which is a big part of my life too. I'm sorry I can't update as much as I would like to but I am trying my best so please know that.
And to the people that messaged me, I am not mad at you, I appreciate your liking for this book:)) I love you all loads
