Josh stood in front of Dallon's door. He had been internally freaking out since Tyler's dad had gotten home. His dad was a fucking cop. He had to tell his friends. He didn't want to, but he had to.

He walked in and saw Brendon and Dallon kissing gently on the couch. Josh just sighed but a small smile graced his lips, thinking of the time he came over the night after meeting Tyler for the first time.

The two didn't separate upon Josh entering and still didn't until the pink haired cleared his throat. They slowly broke the kiss before Brendon turned to Josh with a smirk. "If you're jus' goin' walk in without knockin' we're goin' act like you're not here," he said innocently.

Josh rolled his eyes and flipped him off. "Ash not here?"

"Nope," Brendon shook his head. "She said she was jus' leavin' a few minutes ago."

"It'll be nice to just hang out and not do anything. We haven't done that in awhile," Dallon pointed out, tracing circles on Brendon's thigh through his jeans.

"Agreed," Brendon hummed.

Josh didn't say anything as he sat down on the recliner since he didn't want to occupy the couch with the sappy couple. He took out his phone to distract himself and smiled when he saw a text from Tyler.

Tyler
I miss you

Josh
I just left like ten minutes ago

Josh
But I miss you too

He heard the door open and Ashley walked in, exhaustion evident on her face. "Do ya have any alcohol?" She asked Dallon, gently throwing her purse down on the coffee table.

"Uh," he paused. "What makes you think I'll give alcohol to a minor?" He joked.

"You're fuckin' a 17 year old 'nd ya kill people I'm havin' a rough ass night 'nd 'm goin' raid your kitchen unless you tell me, Weekes," she snapped.

Dallon sighed. "Beer in the fridge, vodka in the cabinet above the toaster."

She didn't reply as she walked into the kitchen. The sound of glass clanking around was audible and she returned a moment later, the bottle of vodka in her hand. She walked over to Josh and perched herself on Josh's lap before taking a swig of the alcohol. She didn't even wince at the taste and Josh didn't know what kind of night she's had so far but it had to have been pretty bad if she was drinking straight vodka at eight on a Friday night.

"Have ya seen the news?" Brendon asked, grinning wickedly. "They're callin' ya The Human Paper Shredder, J," he laughed slightly.

Pride filled Josh's body upon hearing that. He was doing something right. Suddenly, he remembered what he had to tell his friends and frowned.

"You alright, Josh?" Dallon asked worriedly.

Josh gestured for Ashley to get up and the blonde rolled her eyes but moved to the couch, taking another drink of the vodka. "I uh, gotta tell ya guys somethin'..."

"What?"

He took a deep breath. "Tyler's dad is a cop."

No one said anything at first but Brendon broke the silence. "No."

"Yeah he—"

"We can' risk anythin'. This is so dangerous, Josh," he stood up and started pacing.

"No it's—"

He cut Josh off by abruptly stopping, looking at him with a psychotic look in his eye. "We gotta kill him."

"Bren—" Dallon began but stopped when Josh stood up so fast from the chair it creaked loudly. He backed Brendon up into the wall and his hand caught his neck, wrapping around it.

"Josh!" Ashley gasped, setting the bottle in her hand down on the table.

"What the fuck did ya jus' say?" Josh growled, his face inches from Brendon's. His grip wasn't tight enough to choke Brendon, but it caused discomfort.

"What?" Brendon pouted dramatically. "Is Joshie gettin' attached to the kid? He's a risk, ya dumbass! If we get rid of him we don' gotta worry 'bout him."

Josh yanked Brendon off the wall by his shirt and landed a punch to his face. He heard a crack similar to the one he heard when he broke his dad's nose and smiled in satisfaction.

"Josh—" he felt a hand gently touch his shoulder but he shrugged it off, knowing it was Dallon.

"Touch me 'nd it won't be fuckin' good," he looked at the older man and his eyes widened slightly.

He looked back at Brendon but as soon as he did he felt a fist collide with his jaw. Now he was angry.

He tackled Brendon to the ground and the rage he felt coursed through his body, allowing him to gain the strength to keep Brendon pinned to the ground.

He reached in his back pocket and grab out his pocket knife he usually kept in there. That day was no exception. He flicked the blade and held to Brendon's throat. As soon as he felt the cool metal against his neck he stopped thrashing and attempting to escape.

Josh leaned down so he was looking Brendon directly in the eye. They were so close their noses were pressing against each other. "I love him," he began, his voice a whisper. "If ya ever, 'nd I mean ever," he punctuated, pressing the knife further into his skin. "Threaten him or so much as give him a nasty look or lay a hand on him," he pressed his face closer, his voice going even quieter. "I will kill ya in the most painful way possible.

"I will burn your fingers 'nd toes off with acid. I will slam your head against a wall until ya can' see straight. I'll pry your teeth out one by one. I'll do a million more things I won' even give ya the pleasure of tellin' ya now. After 'm done makin' your life a livin' Hell I'll lock ya in room with no food or water 'nd I'll leave ya ta sit in your own piss 'nd shit while we play my favorite game— guessing which of those finally killed ya off. 'Nd then once you're dead I'll skin ya and turn ya inta a damn lampshade. Do I make myself clear?"

Brendon didn't respond so Josh took that a sign of understanding. He stood up and kicked him brutally hard in the side before pointing his knife at Dallon and Ashley. "Same shit goes to ya too. My mind is so fucked up I can plan weeks of torture for all three of ya without repeatin' anythin'. 'Nd when I say torture I mean you'll be beggin' me ta jus' kill ya ta stop the pain."

Dallon and Ashley looked at him and he grinned when he saw they actually looked scared. They've seen him at his worst towards people they either didn't know or didn't like but never had any of them turned against one another. The authority made him feel good. It made him feel euphoric. Unstoppable. If they, out of all people, were scared of him then he was becoming more powerful.

He looked down at Brendon and saw he was glaring at Josh and holding his side. Josh kicked the other side even harder, maybe breaking a rib, before walking out of the apartment and heading to his truck.

Brendon was lucky Josh hadn't killed him then and there. He told Tyler he was going to protect him and he meant it. Brendon wasn't going to lay a hand on him.

Suddenly, a thought struck Josh.

If Brendon was going to try and ruin his relationship, Josh was going to ruin his.
