"Get on the ground!"
Tyler watched as Brendon stood up and turned, firing. There was another gun shot and Brendon fell to the ground, clutching his leg. "Fuck!" He groaned through clenched teeth.
Suddenly an abundance of police offers ran down the stairs, three coming over and holding Brendon to the ground. "We got 'im," one of the officers said into the radio on their shoulder as they yanked his arms behind his back and cuffed him. "Brendon Urie you're under arrest for the murders of Annalise Snow, Frank Iero, Gerard Way..."
Tyler tuned the cop out but continued to watch with wide eyes as they pulled him up and dragged him back up the stairs. He was thrashing around so hard it took all three officers to get him out.
Feeling all his emotions flooding him, he clenched his eyes shut and covered his ears. He hated this. All of it. This wasn't ever supposed to happen to him. He was a good kid. He was a great kid. Bad things weren't supposed to happen to good kids.
He felt his breathing start to pick up and he pushed his hands over his ears even harder, attempting to block out all the talking. One thing he heard in particular though, made his heart shatter.
"Tyler! 'M sorry!"
It was quick but Tyler could still identify Josh over everyone else and the force blocking his ears.
He didn't know how much time flew by but eventually someone grabbed his hands and his eyes flew open. He began to panic and try to pull his hands away, thrashing around in his chair. "Don't touch me! Don't fucking touch me!" He sobbed out, fear coursing through his body.
"Tyler, Tyler," a voice said calmly. He looked up and saw a woman with soft blue eyes looking at him. The blue reminded him of Jenna. "Hey, it's okay," she smiled. "'M Officer Orzechowski. I work with your father. I ain't goin' hurt ya."
"Where is he?" He managed to get out over his rapid hyperventilating. "Where's Josh?"
"He's gone. He can' hurt ya. We took him inta custody. He's outside."
"Where's my dad?"
"We took him outta here too. He's out in an ambulance, gettin' assed," she assured. "Ya both are safe. Josh 'nd Brendon are leavin' soon. Are ya hurt?" She asked as she began untying the knots that were rubbing into his skin.
"I don't..." he looked around frantically, seeing the room was completely empty besides him, Officer Orzechowski, and another officer standing by the stairs and looking worried. "Yes. No. I don't know. My head was bleeding earlier. I got hit on the shoulder. Everything burns from the rope."
"Okay well let's get ya outta here, okay? I'll help ya up the stairs 'nd we'll get ya ta an ambulance.
Tyler began panicking again and felt lightheaded. "No, no!" He shook his head. "No I'm not..." he sobbed out. "No. I don't know you. I can't."
"Tyler I promise I won' hurt ya. Ya gotta trust me."
"No!" He pulled away from her and brought his knees to his chest, resting his head on them. "No," he shook his head again and felt spots appear in his vision.
And that was the last thing he remembered before everything went black once again.

When Tyler woke back up he heard the steady beeping of a heart monitor. He opened his eyes but quickly closed them due to the harsh lights in his room. He popped one open slowly and once he adjusted to the rightness, he opened both.
He craned his neck up slightly since he was laying down and saw he was in a hospital. He then looked down and saw he was in a gown and a bracelet was wrapped around his thin wrist. An IV was in his other hand, pumping clear liquid into his system.
"You're awake."
He looked over and saw the officer from before sitting next to him and smiling. Officer Orzechowski he thinks her name is. He was still disoriented and those words reminded him of Brendon which only caused him to start panicking again. He heard his heart monitor begin to pick up and instantly two nurses rushed in to calm him down.
"Hey, relax," one of them soothed. "You're alright. You're safe. You're in the hospital," she told him as the other nurse injected medicine in his arm. The nurse talking to him held his hand and rubbed his back. "Do ya know who ya are?"
Tyler felt himself start to calm down. "Tyler Joseph."
The nurse pulled a flashlight out of her pocket and began shining it in Tyler's eyes. "Date of birth?"
"December 1st, 2002."
"What's the last thing ya remember?"
Tyler tried hard to think and his stomach churned when he remembered everything. Brendon. Josh. His dad. The police. Panicking. He felt himself start to get worked up again but whatever the nurse gave him prevented him from freaking out. "Everything," he whispered.
The nurse looked at him sadly before offering him a small smile. "I'll go get the doctor, he should be in shortly," she told him before both nurses walked out.
Tyler turned his head to the side to see the officer looking at him cautiously. "Sorry," he mumbled, feeling his body relaxing more and more by the second.
Officer Orzechowski stood up from the chair she was sitting in and walked over, grabbing Tyler's hand that didn't have a needle in it. "You've been out for 12 hours, everyone was worried 'bout ya," she told him.
"What day is it?" He asked, confused.
"Tuesday, December 5th. It's 12:30 right now," she paused. "So ya remember everything that happened?"
"Yeah," Tyler replied quietly. "I wished I didn't."
"I wished so too," she said sadly. "We rescued ya guys at aroun' 12 in the mornin'. Ya passed out and they transferred ya 'nd ya dad a few towns over to get better medical care."
Tyler had been in Brendon's basement for four hours. He had no idea how long he had been unconscious for but that was a long time. Suddenly, those words reminded him of his dad. "How is he?"
"He's alright," Officer Orzechowski assured. "They had ta stitch up his thighs 'nd give him antibiotics but physically he's fine. Mentally..." she sighed. "Not doin' good. He's in a room of his own but they said when ya woke up they'd bring him in 'ere."
Tyler felt his eyes start to close and he yawned. "'M tired," he mumbled.
Officer Orzechowski smiled sadly. "Ya get some rest. When the doctor comes in I'll update him. When ya wake up again your dad should be here. I don' know if I'll be."
"Don't leave," he mumbled once more, his eyes closed now. "I can't... be all... alone..."
"Ya won' be," she replied. "Everything will be okay. I promise."
Tyler didn't get the chance to reply since he was pretty much knocked out by then but he heard what she said.
And he sure as hell hoped she was right.
