They all climbed into Colin's car this time, and made their way to wherever Nick wanted to go. As soon as they made it their everyone got out of the car and gasped at the size of the place.
"An abandoned skate park," Isabelle said excitedly.
"Yep, courtesy of yours truly," Nick said in a British accent as he did a silly bow.
Colin commented, "Well, you didn't make it, you just brought us here."
"Well, we need to start practicing if we wanna figure out our abilities," Nick said, dismissing Colin's comment.
"Alright, Nick and I will go together, Colin and Jake go together, and Stella and the twins go together. We'll all split up on a different part of the park, just to make sure we don't hit anyone," Isabelle explained to the group.
"Alright. Let's go!" Stella said as the separate partners disbanded to their different areas.
Isabelle and Nick walked over to a half pipe so they could practice.
"So, how are we going to do this?" Isabelle asked.
"I'm thinking we just start to do something," Nick said.
"You mean..... like...... THIS?" Isabelle asked as she took Nick's baseball cap off of his head and started running.
"HEY!" Nick playfully yelled after her.
Isabelle kept running, and without thinking, she ran on the half pipe and jumped. But she didn't fall. She kept floating. Not floating, flying!
"Holy shit, Izzy! You can fly!" Nick said, amazed.
"It might not just be me! Why don't you try?"
"I'm not sure......" Nick said a little worriedly.
"Well then, you're not getting your hat back!" Isabelle said, as she knew that would get Nick to try it.
"Oh, you're ON, Heims!" he called after her again before doing the exact same thing. At first he fell a little bit. But then he started lifting!
"Wow! Look at Mr. 'I don't know if I can do it'," Isabelle started to tease Nick.
"Well, we know that flying isn't unique to a specific person," Nick said.
With that, they went back to the ground. All of the sudden, Nick grabbed for his hat, but Isabelle swatted his hand away. At the same time, it appeared that a small flame came out of her hand.
"Wait, was that-"
"My ability?" Isabelle finished Nick's sentence.
"Izzy, try to think of making fire with your hands. See if that works," Nick encouraged Isabelle.
Isabelle listened, thinking of the feeling in her hands, to create fire, to...... to....... WHOOSH
Isabelle swung her hands and out came an open flame.
"Nice, Izzy! But, now we have fire everywhere." Nick said, growing worried just as the flame grew bigger around him.
All of the sudden, Nick just swung his hands as Isabelle did, but instead of flames, out of his hands came water, quenching the flames.
"Nick! You did it! You found your ability!" Isabelle said excitedly.
"Looks like we're complete opposites, huh Izzy?" Nick jokingly questioned.
"That just means we'll help each other out right?" Isabelle joked back with him.
"Um, yeah, I guess," Nick said as he awkwardly rubbed his hand across his neck.
