The group got back to the house, all of them pretty shaken up about what just happened 20 minutes earlier. Although, that didn't stop them from having a good time at the house. They all made some supper, and had fun watching youtube on the TV in the living room. Then, Isabelle spoke up.
"What are we going to do?"
Jake looked at her. "What do you mean?"
"Seriously? We're being hunted down! I got shot, Jake! You're not the least bit worried?"
Nick joined the conversation. "What could we do?"
Markus then spoke up. "We could run."
They all looked at him like he was crazy. But then Zack spoke up.
"He's right." He noticed all of their looks. "What? You said it yourself, Izzy. We're being hunted. We can't just stay here and wait for someone else to get shot."
Jack backed him up. "I agree. We all hate school, we can make it on our own, and those people-whoever they were- won't be able to find us if we live the city."
Nick began to see their side. He looked to Izzy. "I'm only leaving if you're leaving."
Isabelle looked at the group, but finally gave up. "Alright. But could we at least leave tomorrow."
"Yeah, everyone go to your house, get a book bag fool of clothes." Markus told the group.
"Why just a book bag? Why not a suitcase?" Jake asked.
"Because we're gonna fly," Colin answered for Markus.
"Why would we need to fly?" Stella asked another question.
"If anyone is after us, the first thing they'll remember is a licence plate number. We can't risk that," Markus told her.
With that, Nick went with Isabelle to her house, the twins went to their house, Stella went to her house, Colin went to his, and Jake went to his. But before Isabelle and Nick left, Isabelle realized something.
"Markus, where are you going to get your clothes?"
Markus just replied with, "I don't exactly have a home with clothes to go to."
Isabelle and Nick looked at each other. Then, Nick said, "We'll go to Walmart tonight. I'll pay for some clothes."
"Nick, you don't have to-" Markus was interrupted by Isabelle.
"We want to. It wouldn't be fair id you had to wear the same clothes everyday."
With that, everyone had their clothes, even Markus, after a quick trip to Walmart. Just then, Jake asked a question none of them had thought about.
"What about our parents?"
Markus looked down at the ground.
"You won't like this answer, but, we have to completely erase their memories of you guys completely."
"How would we even do that?" Nick asked.
"I can do it. It's one of my abilities," Markus explained.
"You didn't tell us that," Isabelle told Markus.
"Um, I didn't exactly think i would ever have to use it again after my parents."
All of the friends looked at each other, seemingly knowing what they had to do without even speaking.
Isabelle looked down as she said, "Yeah, do it."
They all went to the friends' houses, starting with Isabelle's parents. Isabelle walked into the house first.
"Hey mom, hey dad."
"Hey honey, who's you're new friend?"
Isabelle just gave her parents a hug, followed by her saying, "I love you. I'm so sorry."
"Honey, what are you talking about?"
Markus then walked over to Isabelle's parents, and held his hands over their heads. They looked as if they were sleeping for a bit, but then opened their eyes.
"Who are you people?" Isabelle's mother asked.
"It worked. Let's go," Markus told the group.
Isabelle stood there for a little bit, but once Nick pulled on her sleeve, she wiped up the tears on her face and turned around.
"Hey, you alright?" Nick asked her.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I just need to breathe a little bit."
They went to the rest of the friends' houses, clearing the memories of their parents. Then, since they couldn't go back to Nick's they sneaked into a hotel.
"Well, where are we gonna go tomorrow?" Isabelle asked, trying to get her mind away from what they just had to do.
"Well, somewhere remote, but still in the country," Markus said, to let the group decide.
Out of nowhere Colin said, "We should go to LA. They won't be able to find us in that big of a city, plus, we can all go to the beach."
Everyone looked at each other, and nodded.
"Yeah. I think that sounds good. We just need to lay low the whole time," Markus told him.
"We'll figure that out tomorrow morning. I think we all need to go to sleep," Nick told the group. Isabelle could tell he was getting anxious and tired.
"Yeah. I think that's a good idea," Isabelle agreed with Nick. "I think we'll go to a different hotel room."
"Alright sounds good," Stella spoke up after a while. "Should we split up and go to different rooms?"
Jake nodded then said, "Yeah. How about I'll go with Colin, the twins will go together, and Stella and Markus can go together."
Markus smiled kindly and left the room with Stella, with Isabelle and Nick following, and the twins going out last.
Isabelle could tell this somehow wouldn't be the end of the night.
