Gifted Children

Chapter 14

Isabelle woke up beside Nick, who only had sweatpants on. He was facing her, with his arms around her. She smiled, and ruffled his hair to wake him up. He smiled when he woke up, and they both got up and got dressed.

Markus woke up, and realized Stella was actually in the other bed, which made him confused. He tried to remember if he said something to her in a wrong to her. He shook her to wake her up. She gave him a sleepy smile.

"Hey, did I do something wrong last night?" Markus asked her with a somewhat hurt look in his eyes.

Stella sat up and took his hands in hers. "No, no, trust me you didn't do anything. It just got hot last night, you know, laying by you," she reassured him.

Markus smiled and held her hands for a bit longer until they got dressed.

Jake woke up, and, after five other attempts of trying to wake him up, poured a lot of cold water on Colin's face to wake him up. Jake ended up getting punched, but they both got dressed.

Jack woke up to his brother turned the other way around, his face by Zack's feet. He pushed away Zack's feet and laughed. Unfortunately, Jack didn't know his own strength and pushed Zack completely off of the bed. 

"Dude what the hell?" Zack angrily questioned his brother.

"Sorry I just meant to move your feet away from me," Jack explained himself.

Zack sighed, pushed himself up from the ground, and got dressed as Jack did the same.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------After Isabelle got dressed, she texted the group chat, after adding Markus to it.

Isabelle: hey guys so after all of you get dressed you need to turn off all of your location services. they could be looking for anything. once we all get dressed, we'll all leave.

Nick: and when we do leave turn on airplane mode just to make sure your data isn't on. 

(also i changed the one chapter when they decided where to go. they are now going to LA. idk Nebraska is boring)

Markus: i'm ready and so is Stella

Jack: me and Zack are ready too

Jake: Colin and i are ready to go

Nate: alright so are me and Izzy. meet behind the hotel in five minutes.

Everyone agreed and soon made their way, sneaking out of their hotel rooms and behind the hotel. They all had their bags, and were ready to fly off.

Markus started to explain the trip to them. 

"Alright, we have to cover 123 miles to get to LA. It sounds like a lot, but we can fly a lot faster than any plane could. As long as we talk with our heads, we'll all be able to hear each other loud and clear. We'll all get to the top of the hotel and take off there." 

The group all nodded, and they snuck their way up to the top of hotel. They were almost caught by a maid, but they convinced her they just got in.

Once they were at the top, they all smiled, but not bright happy smiles. Sad smiles that only they would understand. They were leaving.
