I don't get sports; it might be because I'm a girl, but I think it's actually because watching a bunch of men run a football back and forth is boring as hell to me. The only thing that's keeping me entertained is watching Kirsnick and his uncle argue over the game they were watching on tv. They made a bet at halftime, but I guess somewhere in the second half of the game Quavious was starting to lose, so naturally, he tried to take back the bet and Kirsnick wasn't letting that happen.

"Nigga, you lost fair, you can't change shit now!" Kirsnick screamed.

"I never bet. Where you get that from?" Quavious asked him.

"You can't just take shit back cause you aint win." he said.

"bruh, I can't lose a bet that I never agreed to. We ain't bet on this game."

"You full of shit man I swear," Kirsnick sat down next to me. Quavo could try to call it a miscommunication because as they were talking about the game and discussing who would win Quavo said the word bet, but according to him they were supposed to shake on it. Kirsnick kissed his teeth and leaned back on the sofa and inadvertently leaned his body against me.

"Damn, you might as well lay on my lap." I said to him.

He looked over at me and folded his arms over his chest. "Man, leave me alone."

"don't get mad at me. I didn't make a bet with you." he said.

"I didn't either," Quavious mumbled from his place on the sofa next to angel.

"I'll put you out," Kirsnick warned. His uncle rolled his eyes.

"No, you won't," he replied. "Our wives are friends, so I'm safe."

"I'll put her out too," Kirsnick said pointing at me.

"You crazy if you think that'll happen," I said.

He looked over at me a smiled. The smile gave me butterflies; I smiled back and looked away from him before I said back on the sofa and turned my attention toward the tv.

"yall are cute," angel said. I looked over and she was watching the both of us smiling.

"I know I'm cute," Kirsnick said.

"You are an idiot," I said to him.

"Well, you married me," he replied.

"I wouldn't have if I would have known that you were such an ass," I replied. He sat up and turned to look at me before giving me a quick kiss on the cheek and getting up to go to the kitchen. Quavious got up and followed behind him leaving me and angel there.

"You know, it seems like he really likes you." she said.

"Huh?" I asked her.

"I've been around for a few years. I never seen nick with a girl that he actually seemed to give a damn about." she said.

"Oh," was all I said. "Well, I guess that makes me special."

Kirsnick and Quavious walked out of the kitchen and back over to the sofa with snacks. They were talking about the ceremony that was gonna be happening in two weeks. they discuss it every now and then but every time they do Kirsnick quickly changes the subject or doesn't participate in the conversation at all.

"So, everything is set up and we just waiting on the day to come." Quavious was looking down at his phone but when he looked up at Kirsnick he frowned. "What you lookin so sad for, we been waiting on this for almost 6 years."
