It's a week after Alex told her daughter, Jessica, that Tobin Heath is her other mom. Jessica wasn't really upset, considering she was very close to Tobin anyways. But Alex thinks it would be a good idea that her, Tobin and Jessica have a little talk about it. Tobin comes over to their house to have a little chat.
Jessica hasn't met with Tobin since she found out the news, so she's a little nervous.
*doorbell rings*
"Jess. Tobin's here."
"Coming Mom." She replies.
Alex opens the door and sees Tobin standing on the porch.
"Hey!" She says not sounding nervous.
"Hey! Come on in." Alex says stepping back so Tobin can enter.
Tobin steps in the doorway and hugs Alex.
"Jessica should be down in a minute." Alex tells her teammate.
"Great."
As the two talk some more, Jessica comes down the stairs.
"Hey Jess." Tobin says to her daughter. Wow that's weird to say.
"Hey um....Tobin." Jessica answers not sure how to address her newly found mother.
She comes down and sits next to Alex and Tobin on the couch.
"So let's talk." Alex says.
"I have a question." Jessica says.
"I didn't even start talking yet." Alex says to her daughter.
"Why did you two break up?"
Tobin and Alex quickly glance at each other.
"Um well...." Tobin says clearing her throat.
"When I went to play for PSG, I couldn't really talk to your Mom, considering that technology wasn't as advanced as today. So I came back and everything broke apart. We split for your sake. We didn't want to hurt you."
Tobin says looking into Jessica's bright blue eyes.
"Oh. So I split you apart."
"No sweetie. Not at all. It's just we didn't want to fight in front of you. Plus we didn't really have much in common anymore.
"Oh."
"Do ya understand now?" Tobin says.
"Yea thanks."
"Any more questions?" Alex asks.
"No I'm good."
"Great! Then I guess we're done."
"Alright. Bye Tobin." Jessica says going up the stairs.
"Bye Jess." Tobin says waving.
Tobin waits for Jessica to go into her room and says:
"Hey Al. Can we talk?"
"Yea. What's bothering you?"
"Well....This might sound a little weird. For good or worse, but......I....I still love you."
Alex just stares at her.
"What?" She stutterers.
"Yea I realized it after we broke up. We became great friends and I found why I fell in love with you. I didn't want to say anything considering you already decided to not tell Jessica about us."
"Tobin....."
"I know it's crazy. You don't have to say anything."
"No.....I love you too."
"Really?"
"Yea. While Jess was growing up, she always loved playing with Aunt Tobin. It made me feel good how great you are with her. I totally fell for you...again."
"Wow. So.....should we just pick up where we left of?" Tobin asks.
"Yea..." Alex says leaning in.
The two kiss each other passionately.
"I can't believe this is happening." Tobin says.
"I knew we'd get back together some day...."Alex says smiling.
"But I think you better go. I don't want Jess to see us. At least not yet."
"I completely understand." Tobin says getting up.
The couple walks to the doorway. Alex opens the door for Tobin and they both step out onto the porch.
"So see you tomorrow?" Tobin asks her now girlfriend.
"Yea see you at practice."
Tobin smiles and peck Alex's lips.
"Bye." Alex whiskers on her loved ones lips.
"Bye ." Tobin replies.
Alex walks back into the house nervous and excited at the same time. She was nervous that Jess would be mad, but also excited that her family is finally reuniting.
**The next day**
"Hey Jess. Can we talk?"
"Uh sure. " she says sitting next to her birth-mother.
"So I have to tell you something or ask you something I guess. "
"Sure. What is it."
*doorbell rings*
Alex gets and answers the door. Tobin walks in.
"Hey. Did you tell her yet." Tobin says to Alex not seeing Jess in the room.
"Tell me what?" Jess says worriedly.
"I was just about to Tobin." Alex replies .
"Tell me what?!" Jessica repeats.
"Relax Jess it's nothing bad." Alex assures her.
Jessica takes a deep breath and sits down.
"So.....how you feel if Tobin and I got back together?" Alex says hopeful.
"Would you be mad?" Tobin adds on.
"I'd be mad if you didn't." Jessica says smiling.
The couple take a deep breath in unison.
"Good." Alex says pulling in her daughter for a hug. Tobin joins in.
At that time, all of them felt like their lives have been completed.
