It wasn't like you to go to a bar party. Everyone around you could tell that you weren't used to this scene, that this really wasn't your thing. But your new boyfriend, Tom, wanted to come, so you tagged along. It beat sitting at home moping around and thinking about everything that had gone wrong in your life over the past few years.

You were just starting to have fun when you felt a hand grab your arm. You tried to shake it away and see who it was, but everything seemed to be a blur. Tom was no where to be seen.

"What the fu-" you stopped when you realized it was Dallas Winston who'd wrapped his fingers around you and pulled you away from it all. You looked up at him, realizing he hadn't changed a bit since it all happened. And then you saw the heater he was carrying with his other hand.

"Jesus, put that thing away, we're in public!" you snapped, shaking your head at him. You watched as he reluctantly slid it back into his back pocket. "Why do you even have that thing here? What are you even doing here?"

"Just in case that son of a bitch you call your boyfriend decides to show up and disturb this nice little conversation we're having," Dallas said smoothly. "And to answer your second question, I'm here for you."

"You can't just show up like this," you snapped. "You gave up that right when you broke my heart."

Dallas chuckled, shaking his head. "Broke your heart? You're the one who was two-timing me while I was in jail. You need to get your head straight, sweetie."

"Two-timing you?" you argued, anger bubbling up inside of your chest. "How dare you accuse me of cheating. You decided to get yourself locked up for two years, and for what? Sticking up a convenience store? Two years, Dallas."

"And how does that give you the right to-"

"To what? To move on with my life? Or did you expect me to wait around for you, while you keep pulling stupid shit, while you keep throwing your life away?" You tried to walk away from him to find Tom but Dallas hadn't let go of your arm yet. He stared back at you with those cold, heartless eyes - the eyes you used to love - and you stared back. You weren't going to back down, not this time. You were sick and tired of him pushing you around, making demands when he wasn't doing jack shit.

"I expected you to love me," Dallas said simply.

"Yeah, well, you forfeited my love when you decided that crime was more important to you."  With that, you whipped your arm out of his grasp, turning on your heels and walking away. Dallas simply watched, watched you go back to your boyfriend and start dancing. He watched you smile as Tom treated you with the respect you deserved, the respect Dallas had failed to give you. Dallas watched as you kissed another man with the same lips Dallas had kissed time and time again, the lips that had let him forget the rest of the world and the Socs and his parents being gone and everything that had left him feeling broken.

He almost laughed when he thought of that. Because Dallas Winston didn't know what being broken meant until now.
