Freethinker 1: Everything happens because it's God's will. An innocent woman got raped, and it's all in God's will. Bullshit!
Believer 1 on Freethinker 1: Well, everything has a purpose, my friend. A man murdered, or a woman raped, a child molested, everything has a purpose. Come on, you should know this.
Freethinker 2: And for what great purpose warrants an innocent woman to be raped?
Freethinker 1: What purpose must it be? Purpose of destroying the lives of innocent victims? They could have been professional in their own future if they were not molested, murdered, and if their dreams weren't taken from them. Now, the innocent woman who got raped is now insane because of the psychological trauma that she will be having for the rest of her life ruining the dreams that she'd ever dream. She could have been a nurse, she could have been a doctor, she could have been a lawyer, she could have been a wonderful mother of her own children and a beautiful wife of her own husband. But those will no longer come true because it has been taken away from her. And now she's trapped in the past, that seems like she is being raped each day.
ME on standard contemplation over a cup of coffee: This world is full of geniuses, why is it still fucked up? Everything should have been solved by now. Well, if you think sa mga pinagsasabi ng mga tao sa itaas, mapapa-realize ka talaga. Is there a god who permits pain? For what purpose? Para malaman niya na mali siya? Para malaman niya na tao lang siya at may Diyos na hawak-hawak ang buhay niya? Ito kasi lagi ang sinasagot ng mga die-hard believers: Everything happens for a reason; everything is in God's plan. Mapapaisip ka talaga. What plan? What reason? Bakit kailangang may namamatay? Bakit kailangang may mabuwis na hinaharap? Fucking why? You see, I'm a believer. However, my personal God is not what the religion preaches. My God does not condemn his people in hell. My God does not sacrifice lives over a "greater purpose" or a "greater plan". What greater plan is there than to let that being live his life than take it away from him? At 'wag niyo akong sasagutin ng mga bible verses. I don't have a religion but I have a God. Magkaiba 'yan. This does not promote atheism or heresy or CBCP-contradicting-post in any way. Ask yourself the same questions.
