You entered the classroom groggily and made your way to your seat and sat down. You placed your head on your arms, hoping to block out all the noise everyone was making. The classroom was filled with chitter and chatter about how they had been recognized, you would have joined in if you weren't that tired.

"Good morning Y/n" you heard your name. You looked up and saw Izuku. "Oh, morning" you replied.

"Are you alright?" he asked as you shrugged. "Yeah, just tired" you yawned as he nodded.

Mr. Aizawa had entered the classroom and begun the class by explaining you all had to choose your hero names. He also explained how the picks for the internships had been announced.

The numbers appeared on the board, you were tempted to react after seeing your name but all you could do was widen your eyes.

"Normally the numbers are more spread out but the top two and one of the top three had gotten the most"

Todoroki came first with several thousands of votes, you came second, then finally Bakugou. "It's probably after the influence of my dad" you said aloud.

"You were badass there also!" Kaminari turned to you as you shrugged.

Midnight had arrived to help pick our hero names. Several people had already had their turn. You weren't sure what your hero name would be. You saw Eijirou go up and present his hero name. 'That was the one we used as kids'

An idea had popped up in your head as you quickly wrote it down and waited for your turn. You stood up and walked over to the front and flip the whiteboard to reveal your hero name.

"I decided i'll be going with this alias. It's a strange name but i keep it close to myself" you said, showing the board to your classmates. 'Vain'

"Strange hero name.. Are you sure about that?" Midnight asked you, you nodded in response and took your seat.

"What does that mean? Isn't that where blood is in english?" Kaminari asked you. "It's apparently a synonym for my quirk name. And it's an inside joke" you replied.

"You remember" Kirishima grinned towards you. You gave him a small laugh, "you also do. I was iffy about it, since it means both egoistical and useless, though i couldn't think of anything and it seems unfair that you use your old name and i don't" you said.

Aizawa had finally distributed all the papers with the internship offers. You scanned the papers, hoping to find a certain agency. Peril had started to slowly enter you as the agency you were hoping to have given an offer had not appeared on any of the papers. 'Why is it not here?!'

After a while, you stood up and walked over to your friends. "Oh, Y/n, have you decided on ho you're interning with? You were offered by a lot of agencies" Izuku said.

You shook your head in response. "How about you?"

He put his head behind his head and gave a small smile of embarrassment. "i'm not sure-"

"Y/n! Deku!" Ochako interrupted.

You turned your head towards her. "Oh, hi Ochako, have you decided who you're interning with?" you asked.

She nodded. "Battle hero, Gunhead's agency?! Isn't he a rough-and-tumble scrapper Uraraka?!" Izuku asked in shock.

"Yeah! I mean, he drafted me" she smiled, doing fighting like gestures.
