~HINATA~

After class I scurried out of the room, trying to ignore the glares I was getting.

'I didn't know sitting next to Sasuke would cause this kind of reaction,' I thought.

Finally, I made it outside and placed my bags on the ground. I picked up my lunch which were rice rolls, and began eating.

I saw Naruto looking at me and I blushed. I almost choked on my food when he walked over to me.

"Hey Hinata," he exclaimed looking at me, "wanna come and eat with me?"

"W-why?" I asked. My face was heating up, I could feel it.

"Well, I wanna get the chance to talk to the person Sasuke has a crush on."

This time I actually choked on my food.

"Hey, are you alright?" Naruto asked, concerned.

"I-I'm fine," I answered coughing. "What do you mean 'the person Sasuke has a crush on'?"

"In class today, he said for you too sit beside him."

"I think it was just because he didn't want to sit beside Sakura or Ino," I remarked honestly.

He thought for a moment. "Well, if somehow he does have a crush on you, I wanna get to know you so I can tease him about it."

"O-okay," I responded.

"Awesome!" he smiled. I could see him smile every day. He sat down beside me and it took all my self-control not to faint.

"Alright, let's start easy; what's your favorite color?"

"Thanks Hinata!" Naruto exclaimed waving goodbye.

"N-no problem!" I answered.

"See you tomorrow!" With that, he left. I sat there pondering what he had said.

'Sasuke having a crush on me? No way! We've only spoken once and that was today when he asked me to sit by him. And I'm sure that's because he didn't want to sit by the other girls.'

I was lost in my thoughts and I didn't notice some girls walking toward me.

"H-hi," I said. One rolled her eyes.

"Stay away from Sasuke," she ordered.

"O-okay," I stammered. I was not prepared for this.

"Well to make sure you really understand," another one spoke, "we'll have to ingrain it into your head." Without warning, she yanked me onto my feet only to push me over.

"Stay away from Sasuke," she said. I nodded. She reached toward me but stopped short. She turned around and I craned my neck to see what she was looking at.

It was Sasuke. He was looking in our direction. With the girls distracted, I jumped up and ran. I didn't stop until I was back at the Hyuga house.

'I'd better not tell father what just happened. He'll be more disappointed than he already is. I ran away from a fight, Hyugas never run.'

I sighed and walked inside. I scurried to my bedroom and thankfully, no one stopped me.

I placed my things beside my bed and pulled my pajamas on. I didn't feel like eating dinner, so I curled up into bed.

Wondering if tomorrow would be better, I drifted off into sleep.

'At least I got to talk to Naruto.'
