~HINATA~

The river was freezing. The waves continued to cascade over my head. I was struggling to stay above water and I'd lost all sense of direction.

"Help!" I screamed, but swallowed a mouthful of water.

'This is not how I wanted to die!' I thought, 'I wanted to die protecting someone I cared about!'

Closing my eyes and waiting for the end, I didn't notice someone beside me. When then touched me I let out a shocked breath while my eyes flew open.

I couldn't see their face—all I saw was a flurry of blue.

The person firmly grabbed my arm, and began pulling me to the shore.

"I-I don't know," I answered earnestly. I didn't know why I did any of it. I didn't know why I agreed to join Naruto, why I stayed after they left, why I was saved by Sasuke Uchiha.

"Well, you had better figure it out!" he growled. I nodded and scurried to my room. Plopping onto my bed, I sobbed.

"You aren't fit to be a Hyuga," a voice spoke. I turned my head and saw Fugito standing in the doorway. I inwardly groaned. I tried to be nice to everyone around me, but Fugito was impossible.

"Whatdoyouwant?" I asked.

"For you to be a proper Hyuga."

I laughed.

"Also, your father has requested you continue training with Neji. Now."

I mumbled a few rude remarks, then left. I spotted Neji in the training grounds and went to greet him.

After awhile of persuading him to train me, he obliged, and we began.
