~SASUKE~

'Since Hinata fell into the river, she's been late every day.' As I pondered why, my mind trailed to the events of that night.

'The wave, that was no ordinary wave. Was someone trying to kill Hinata?'

"Class, today we'll be doing target practice," Iruka spoke, "everyone follow me."

As he lead the way outside, Hinata, who had been late as usual, blended into the crowd.

"Are you trying to look at your girlfriend?" Naruto asked, coming up behind me.

"Tch," I responded.

Once outside, we began. All of my kunais hit the middle circle, while Naruto hit or missed the outside one.

"ACK!" he shouted, "THIS IS STUPID!"

"Well Naruto, if you'd prefer we do something different, please inform me," Iruka spoke, annoyed.

"Let's do that sparing thing!"

Iruka thought for a moment. "Alright Naruto. We'll spar."

"ALRIGHT!" he shouted, "first, ME AGAINST SASUKE!"

"I'm fine with that," I responded glaring at him.

Sighing, Iruka said fine so we got into position.

"GO! KICK HIS BUTT SASUKE!" Ino screeched.

"SHOW HIM WHO'S BOSS!" Sakura shouted.

'I swear,' I thought, 'one day I'll go deaf because of them.'

As we were about to begin, I spotted Hinata in the mob of people. She was twiddling her fingers as usual and looking shyly at Naruto. I rolled my eyes.

"LET'S GO!" Naruto yelled. Rolling my eyes once again, I rushed at him. He charged as well.

Dodging his punch and throwing my own, I easily overpowered him. The mob of people cheered while Hinata clapped politely.

"NO! I WANT A REMAT-"

"Okay, next will be Sakura vs Hinata," Iruka proclaimed, cutting off Naruto. Both stepped forward while Naruto and I shuffled back. I acted as if I weren't paying attention, but really, I was. I was studying every move each of them made.

Hinata had an opening several times, but never took them. It made me irritated how soft she was.

"Are you alright Hinata?" Sakura asked, after knocking the former to the ground. Hinata nodded, and stood. She scurried back to her place in line, keeping her head down.

"Alright class!" Iruka exclaimed once everyone had sparred, "let's head back inside."

We followed him inside and I shuffled closer to Hinata.

"Why did you lose?" I demanded. Her head snapped up and she stared at me surprised.

"W-what do you mean?" she asked. Playing dumb, fine.

"Why did you let Sakura win?"

"Oh, w-well, she was stronger than me," Hinata responded. I was getting frustrated.

"You know you could have easily beaten her," I stated. She gazed at me blankly.

Exasperated, I turned away. I didn't have time to worry about Hinata. If she wanted to seem weaker than everyone else, that's her problem.

'I've been sidetracked for far too long,' I thought, 'I need to train harder so I can finally restore my Clan.'
