NOTE: SORRY FOR THE DELAY. I was busy writing the next part and forgot to update. The next part is something NEW. not from the previous publication. My longest update till now, it has 5000 words. This new updated Wattpad is creating too many problems. if i try to update any pic the whole update is going lost. I have done this part 5 times by now. so all the time I spent searching pics has gone waste.

ICE BREAKER

Maan could very well understand the taunt which other people were oblivious to.

Maan left the scene. Daadi went down for dinner preparations. Geet was blasted with sly comments now. Maan's cousins led by Kiya asked all sorts of question to Geet. Naintara was also on their side today.

Geet was the vulnerable part of Maan. Maan singh khurana had stood very strong from beginning. He was always a no nonsense kind of person. His business sense was too good from the start. He was professional in his dealings even with family members. The ladies envied her for her power and stature which Geet had naturally got. He was ruthless to their husbands when it came to business and never tolerated flaws. Their luxuries were all at his mercy as they were dependent on Maan for business or were employed by him. Earlier the post was held by Daadi and she had also been very strict and had instilled the qualities in Maan too.

They got few opportunities to question Maan or demean him. Geet was one of the opportunities. They had seen that Geet never complained to Maan. They understood well that either she didnt complain or Maan didnt care. She kept their bashings to herself. If he had known the consequences would have been grave. So everytime they found geet alone they took full advantage.

Maan saw Geet sitting in the garden below in cold from the terrace. He was surprised why she was sitting there at this time in the winter chill. He walked to the backyard, stepped down to the vast garden with lush green grass which seemed liked green carpet. This was the large span of land which sloped to the small lotus pond beyond which were the servant quarters by the boundary wall.

Geet was sitting at a distance from the house on an iron bench with her back towards the mansion. She had lifted her leg on the bench, her lehenga had propped up exposing her legs adorned with mehendi and beautiful anklets which were more of payezeb (payezeb is the heavier and broader version of anklets or payals with many ghungroos). Her sandals carelessly left on the grass. Her head was dipped between her legs hiding it. She raised her head and looked up and spoke something which was not audible for Maan.

Geet- Why Babaji? Why me? Why do you post all the problems to my address? Didnt you have another person for this Kharoos? I wanted to study and fly so you attached this problem with me. Who gets married this way? I have never heard of such marriage. Why did you speed post this snob to me.

All Maan could gather was she was sobbing and blabbering.

He walked closer and she at once got up and wiped off her tears.

Maan- what are you doing here at this time? Why are you crying?

Oh I was enjoying. She taunted. Does it really matter to you?

She was delivering profanities under her breath. Maan could sense some turmoil passing through her.

He held her by her shoulder and moved really close to her. He was concerned. What happened?

She snapped his hand. You are stepping on my lehenga, you will destroy it. Move away. Don't touch me.

The push startled him. No one dared to talk to him this way. His face started getting strained. He gritted his teeth. He didn't move from his place.
