Hum tum ek kamre mein

It has been three weeks to karvachauth. Geet seemed quite occupied in her own thoughts. Maan wished to talk to her at times but hesitated. He thought geet has still not forgiven him and that's why is not making any sort of communication with him. She always seemed in some other land. They were not able to sort out the Karvachauth night issue and then she was saddened by leaving her mother after such drama. he thought these things were keeping her mind preoccupied.

Dining Hall

Three of them were having breakfast together. It was late than Geet's usual time.

She sat there in a pink suit nibbling one paratha for past 15min.

Daadi- Geet why are you playing with the paratha? Eat.

Maan was also seeing her toy with the food.

No daadi. I am late, I better leave. She hurriedly got up, picked up her bag hanging on the chair and started leaving.

Maan interrupted her. Finish your breakfast Geet. You havent eaten much.

Geet gave him a weird look. I am not hungry.

She walked out.

Daadi said with concern after she left. Something is not right. She is not eating properly. Her behaviour has also been weird lately. She is lost. She doesnt talk much. She has started going to college late. Misses her classes too. She never missed her classes earlier.

Why dnt you ask her?

I inquired Indirectly but she said there is nothing to worry. Something is bothering her. Maan why dnt you ask her.

Hhhmmm. # How can I tell you daadi that she is angry with me. I spoiled her mood. #

Dinner time

Daadi told Geet who seemed in another world. Geet I hope you remember, Maan's cousins are coming from New york.

Geet was startled and said hurriedly. Daadi I forgot. When are they coming?

Tonite. Kavya and Kabir, they are kids of Maan's maasi. Kavya is very fond of Maan. Maan is his usual. But as they were darlings of bahurani he tolerates all her nuisances when she comes here.

Geet nodded. hhhmm. I will take care.

Daadi looked up from her plate. Maan is close only to these two. They live in NY. Both are completing their studies. Maan must have told you about them.

Hmm She said hesitantly.

She always stays in your study room. The room next to Maan. Can you adjust your books for sometime? Just for 2 weeks. Nakul will arrange the room for her. I didnt let him go there in your absence. He will go with you after dinner.

Who is coming Daadi? What adjustment? Maan asked as he entered the room.

Like husband like wife. Both have forgotten. I told you both Kavya and Kabir are coming. Daadi complained.

Maan took his seat and Nakul served. Ok daadi. But what is the issue regarding the room?

Daadi said. Maan she always stays in the room next to yours. You know she will take it otherwiseif I adjust her in other room. Cant you adjust with Geet's books for 2 weeks?
