Drew. The only thing on my mind as I walked through the alley. I struggled to keep my face straight as I remembered how soft and sweet her lips were. It may sound cheesy, but it's like our lips fit together perfectly. I felt my cheeks heat up, thinking of her. I felt like a high school boy with a crush.

I walked up three flights of stairs before reaching Liam's apartment. I knocked on the door and sniffled, damn dust. I leaned against the railing in front of his door right as he opened it.

"Harry no!" he shouted.

I stood straight, my hands in the air and my eyes wide. I looked like a deer in headlights. He walked behind me as I put my hands down, he wriggled the railing wrapped the worn duct tape back around the bar. It had somewhat became sturdier and we walked inside.

"What's wrong with the railing?" I asked, shutting the door.

"Its been like that since I moved in."

"Two years ago?" I asked in disbelief.

I sense a fall in his future.

"Yeah, I called the manager but he just sits on his ass all day."

I sat on the tan couch, sinking into the cushion.

"What it this on the cushion?" I asked, pointing to a white stain I had my thigh rested over.

He smirked.

"You don't wanna know, trust me."

I stood up immediately, my hands in the air. Walking over to the kitchen, I leaned against the refrigerator and crossed my arms.

"Have you finished yours up already?" he asked, pulling a black sweatshirt over his head.

I had worn the same jeans from yesterday and a grey shirt, my hair pushed back and damp from my shower.

"Nearly, and you?"

He shook his head, wedging his feet into his shoes.

"Not even close, I'm going out right now. Wanna come?" he grabbed his keys and headed towards the door.

"Nah, I'll just walk around for a bit."

...

I looked at the address on the street, it looked about right. It was dark last night so I didn't get a good look at the numbers on the house, but I could recognize it any day. And I did. I walked up the steps and stood before the door, the time on my phone read seven twenty three.

I raised my hand to knock on the door, the sound from my knuckles coming out louder than I meant them to. I pushed my hair back and held my hands together behind me. The door swung open, a woman looking to be about fourth or so with her lips parted stood before me.

She scanned my figure, posture, and face. I tried my best to wear a fake smile. I felt like I was back at a police line up. I hallowed my cheeks, exhaling awkwardly. After a while, I coughed and spoke.

"Is Drew in?"

"May I ask who you are?" she asked, looking appalled by my appearance.

"Uh, Harry. I don't know if she's-"

"Harry?" she spoke, standing behind the woman at the door.

She brushed past her and stood beside me.

"Drew," the woman's eyes darted to me, then to Drew. "Who is this?"

"Auntie, he's a friend."

The woman inspected me again, then Drew spoke up.

"Well, I should be heading off, see you after school." Drew said, placing a kiss to her Aunt's cheek.

She walked off and I followed slowly, half jogging to walk beside her.

"Why have you come?" she asked, tugging at the straps on her bag.

"Well, considering the bag on your back, I suppose I'm walking you to school."

She nodded and stared forward, glancing at me occasionally.

"About last night-" I started.

"I know, I know you don't want to date or anything. It's fine." she mumbled.

We walked for a while in silence, stopping at a red light and I pressed the button.

"I do." I spoke, staring ahead.

From the corner of my eye, I watched her eyes light up as she looked up at me.

"Y-you do?"

I nodded, stepping into the street. Once we were safely across, I looked at her.

"I just don't want to rush anything. That's how people get hurt," I looked into her eyes, the intensity level raising. "and I don't want you to get hurt."

"Okay."

"Okay."

In the distance, I could see a faint outline of a structure.

"Can I hold your hand?" she asked, her eyes pouring into my soul.

I half smiled and felt her wedge her fingers in between my own. I stared straight ahead and felt heat rise to my cheeks. I felt like a school boy once again. But this is not a school boy crush. This is more than that. Much more.
