Hannah's POV
Today's been very slow. I couldn't be more bored if I tried to be. Making my ass clap for money was never something I enjoyed per se, but there was hardly a dull moment. Honestly, I only really want to put on shows for Maxi and he's not been in Italy for almost 3 weeks. None of them have.

Apparently they had some major business to attend to back in America. It's always that though isn't it? Business. I remember a few years ago I told myself that if it came down to it I'm sure that Maxi would pick work over me and that thought hasn't changed. I love the man more than I love myself, annoyingly, but I know what's up.

Teddy, Ken and Aemilio went too of course, the funny thing is I've heard hide nor hair from either of them. Ken who wanted us to build a relationship so badly, hasn't bothered to check up on me and the fucked up thing is I've actually messaged her several times! Like I just can't with this girl.

"Hey."

"Girl what is up with you? I swear you're messing up my aura with all that dark energy." And I'm not playing. Cleo is usually a ray of sunshine so the vibes that I'm getting from her now are very depressing.

"It's just how long are we going to do this for?" She sulked, dropping down next to me.

"We have 3 hours left on our shift." I responded, peering at the clock in our dressing room.

"No. That's not what I'm talking about. Are we going to be strippers for the rest of our lives? Until we're old?" She asked.

"Well I don't know about you because you're already stiff and lacking in rhythm, but I'm sure I could still make it clap at 70, plus black don't crack, so I should be set but you may have some thinking to do." I joked, however Cleo clearly wasn't having any of it.

"I'm not playing, Hannah. This is serious! Do you think I want to be here when I could be with Elia?" I see.

"So that's what this is about." I mused.

"W-what."

"Don't bother. I know you're head over heels for Maxi's brother, apparently that family has a gene that makes them irresistible. If you want to be with him so bad, quit and go to America. You're still young, you should be enjoying life and your youth." This job shouldn't hold her back from what she really wants, she deserves happiness.

"First of all, we're both 22. In fact, I'm a few months older than you so save me the youth spiel. I could quit but I can't leave you." I rose an eyebrow at her.

"Don't feel obliged to stay in Italy because of me. I'm not stupid you know. As soon as Maxi's entire family and Teddy's went to America all of a sudden, I knew what was happening. They're moving back there permanently. Sure Italy is where they're from but they've lived in the US their entire lives. They only came here because of a chain of unfortunate events. I'm guessing it's safe for them to go back now." I'm attempting to keep my expression neutral but my heart feels heavy. Deep down I knew Maxi was always going to go back to the US, I just wish it wasn't happening so soon.

"Come with me Hannah. Please! You're literally my rib, I want to be with Elia but I can't live without my best friend." I froze at that. Is this what my friendship with Kensington should have been like all this time? The truth is I can go back to the US since I was cleared of my charges especially the more heinous ones. I just made the personal choice not to go back because of what happened to me there.

I need to weigh up my options. Stay in Italy as a stripper until I'm 70 or go back to America and be with the love of my life because I'm definitely not up for doing long distance. After careful consideration I think the only logical thing I can do is be a 70 year old stripper...fine. I'm obviously going with Cleo.
