Eva wakes up the next day with wet lips on her warm neck. Zayn was kissing her throat up and down in a passionate way. Eva had to admit in her mind that it was a great way to wake up. It wasn't long before Zayn realized she was awake, so he planted a kiss on her soft lips. "Good morning love." He says, in a slight whisper looking into her eyes, and gently moving the hair away from her face to behind her ear. She couldn't help but smile.

"Good morning Zayn." She tells him back. He smiles too, and then kisses her lips again. "Please say I can spend time with you today? I've missed you so much." Eva asks

"I'm sorry. I have a lot to do with my pack still. Now that I'm the alpha, I have so much more work. Loads more since I'm keeping you safe." He says. Eva felt guilty that they were all doing this for her. A girl they didn't know. "But don't worry. I promise that we'll spend a whole day together, without me working."

"Just us?' Eva knew he wasn't lying, and would keep all his promises, but she just needed reassuring after all that has happened.

"Just me and you." He answers. His left had was caressing her cheek, his thumb running up and down softly on her smooth skin.

"I can't wait for that day." Eva tells him. She hoped that day was soon too.

"Me either." He answers, and again kisses her. He then sits up, and slides to the end of the bed, stretching. Eva looks at his very nice looking muscular back.

"Off to work with the pack?" She asks.

"Yup." He says. She rolls back over and closes her eyes while he got ready for the day. Once he was done getting dressed, he walks up to Eva, and plants a soft kiss on her forehead. It looked like she had drifted off to sleep, even though she was awake. Right before he leaves the room, Eva speaks.

"Zayn?"

"Yes?" He asks.

"Can I talk to you about something before bed tonight?" She asks, referring to the whole Marissa being jealous thing.

"Of course love." He tells her.

"Thank you Zayn." She says.

"I love you." He tells her. It felt like she hadn't heard him say that for the longest time.

"I love you too." With that, Zayn was gone, and Eva had fallen back asleep in the warm bed, breathing in the smell that Zayn had left behind.

Eva woke up later that day around noon. She had slept a long time, without any dreams though. It was relaxing, and the few times she had awaken, she went back to sleep almost instantly. When she checked the time, and realized it was 11:45, she decided it was best to get up, shower and eat something.

So she forces herself out of bed, and get's her outfit ready for the day before hopping into the hot shower, in which made her a little tired again. But, while taking a shower, she had time to think. And she realized she could not wait for tonight. She missed Zayn already, plus she wanted to know about the whole Marissa thing. Why would she be jealous? Zayn talked to her like she was nothing.

Soon, the shower was finished, she had gotten dressed in black skinny jeans, with one of Zayn's white shirts which was obviously a bit big on her, and she put on her shoes. She pulled up the sides of her hair, braiding them, and wrapping them around her head, tied together in the back with bobby-pins, with her bangs hanging out in front of the braid though. The rest of her hair was straight, laying down her back.

When she was finished, she walked out of the room, and into the kitchen to find something to eat. Her stomach was growling. "It's okay, I'll feed you in a second". She tells her belly, holding it gently with one hand, and with the other opening the fridge.

"Humans." She hears a voice and flips around quick. It was only Curt.

"Humans? And what's so wrong with humans?" Eva asks sarcastically, while smiling. She knew Curt was just trying to push her buttons, but in a friendly sort of way.

"You just talked to your own stomach. That's saying something." Curt says, gesturing to her waist. He was leaning up against the entrance to the kitchen, with his right arm above him, and his forearm balancing him on the door frame; except there was no door. His ankles were crossed, right over left. He was wearing baggy cargo jeans, and a plain black t-shirt that fit him perfectly.

"Hey, that's just a me thing. I'm a weirdo sometimes." Eva says her attention going back to the fridge. Nothing looked good, so she moved to the freezer.

"Oh, don't get me started on how weird you are." Curt says, with a slight laugh at the end.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Eva asks, scanning the freezer. "Ooh, Ice cream!" She pulls out the gallon container of plain vanilla ice cream. She looks to Curt. "I can eat this right?" She asks, making sure it didn't belong to anybody else.

"Yes." He answers. Eva smiles, and sets the container on the counter, closing the freezer door. "Most of the food in this kitchen is for you anyways. Everybody else has their own cabin around here somewhere, or they just hunt."  He tells her as she grabs a bowl, a spoon and and ice cream scoop.

"Oh, well that's nice to know. So I can eat whatever I want then?" She asks, pausing the scooping of her ice cream. She looks up to him, finally noticing that he was now sitting at one of the chairs at the table. He nods to her.  "Yes. Food is great." She says. She finishes scooping her ice cream, and sits down at the table across form Curt. "So good news." She says and then puts a spoon full of ice cream in her mouth, instantly starting to melt over her warm tongue.

"Oh, let's hear it." Curt says smiling. Eva swallows before answering.

"Zayn agreed to talk to me tonight." Eva tells him.

"Does he know about what yet?" Curt asks, giving Eva a concerned look. Eva pauses before answering.

"No." She finally states. "Do you think he'll flip out?"

"I don't know. But it does seem like he's hiding it from you."

"I know. Well, we'll see what happens." Eva's mind went completely back to her ice cream. It was a few moments before Curt spoke.

"So, I have some news too." Eva looked up at him. He looked a bit sad, but guilty too.

"Good or bad?"

"Probably bad."

"Well, what is it?" Eva asks.

"Damion said that we can't spend as much time together anymore." He looked down at the table, obviously sad. "He honestly thinks that I want you. Even if I did I couldn't, and he knows that."

"Who will I hang out with then? Your the only person I've been able to talk to while Zayn is busy."

"I don't know. Probably back to Damion. I'm sorry Eva. Good luck tonight with Zayn." With that, Curt stands up and starts to walk towards the door.

"I will see you around though, right?" Eva could feel her heart beat faster and faster as she knew she was losing the only person she could be around without Zayn. Her best friend here. Curt pauses in the door way, not looking back.

"Not really." And he disappears. Eva could feel a tear run down her cheek. She looked down at the bowl of ice cream, not having an appetite at all anymore. She looks up again to see Damion.

"You alright?" He asks.

"Why do you care? It's all your fault anyway!" She almost yells at him. Leaving her bowl on the table, she pushes past him, and runs to her room. She slams the door shut, and lays on the bed, her tears covering the pillow.
