Gerard shakes his head. None of the medicines for flu worked. His mind is still a bit dizzy. He must finish his mission before he dropped dead.
Find Hanks.
Kill him.
That simple.
If only his body would listen to him.
He walks like a zombie. Slow motion. Each step taken felt like a trial.
He collapses somewhere in one of numerous alleys in London.
Someone is rummaging his clothes when he regains consciousness again.
Gerard's punch is a lot weaker than usual. Fortunately it managed to scare the runt.
The teenager boy fled.
Gerard touches his pocket. Lost his wallet. At least he still got his gun. Can't kill Hanks without one.
He sighs.
Never felt so weak in his life. Even when he got shot last time, it wasn't this bad.
He staggers up by holding to a nearby wall. Managed to get back on his feet again.
The question remains.
How to find Hanks?
He is no rookie agent. He knows how to blend with the local. He would be your friendly neighbor. A good friend. When he wants something from you. That's how he got close to Chrissy. A wolf in sheep's clothing.
Gerard shakes his head.
He needs his focus.
He walks to nearest bus station. It's slim chance. It's better than staying at his hotel room, doing nothing.
He almost falls down again when a young police officer helps him.
The young man scolds, "Sir, you have high fever! You must go to the hospital!"
"I'm...good..."
"No, you aren't. Let me take you there."
"No!"
Gerard tried to shove him off. But the officer manages to force him into back seat. The police radio car suddenly emits a transmission.
Gerard couldn't understand too well due to the acronyms used by police.
The officer replies to the order when it calls his name.
"An unit? But Sarge, I'm code 4. Can't you send someone else? I haven't got any Refs for hours... Might be SOCA? Yes, I got the Big red key. It's in my trunk. No, Sarge. I'm no BONGO. On my way."
The officer turns to Gerard and apologizes, "Sorry, mate. Hold it for a while longer. I have to deliver the big red key to the others. Then we would go to the hospital."
He turns on the siren. The other cars quickly make way for him.
The officer says, "Don't have too many SOCA crimes in that neighborhood. Must be a prank or something..."
"SOCA?" asks Gerard weakly.
"Organized crimes. Mob or something."
The police officer turns off the siren when there is no traffic ahead of him. Don't want to warn the bad guy.
Two police cars have been stationed in front of the house. Waiting for the Big red key.
Turned out the key is battering ram (in red color) to smashing doors.
Gerard leaves the car when the young police officers join his comrades.
He needs to seek Hanks. Not quarantined in a hospital. If he must died, he would die after eliminating the terrorist. Call it a personal vendetta.
