"How do you feel?" asks Gerard worriedly.
Nina stretches her back and yawns a little. Knowing Chrissy is dead. Made her feel calmer a lot.
"Like new," replies her.
Her boyfriend still looks worried.
She asks, "Do you have any mint candy?"
"Sure. Here you go."
He offers her few candies and she takes one. Nina munches the candy for a while. She just woke up. Her breath would smell bad right now. This candy would make sure she got minty breath.
Looking around the small bedroom. She doesn't know where they are.
Gerard explains, "Jack's safe house. He brought us here earlier."
He apologizes, "I'm sorry about Chrissy. We, we never date or anything. Not like that. Just few night stand. When the pressures got too much and..."
Nina presses a finger to his lips.
She says, "I don't wanna know. I only know you're mine now. Got it?"
She stands on top of her toes and kisses him passionately. Gerard responds it eagerly.
They fall to the bed behind her. Still kissing and touching each others.
Gerard stops for a minute to ask, "Are you sure? You just recovered."
"I wanna celebrate life with you."
"I love you, Nina," says him before kissing her bare neck.
Jack is going to knock on the door when the noises from inside made him frozen on spot.
He rubs his face and walks away.
They are lovers. It's okay for them to do that.
Still he felt he wanted to kill someone. Probably himself for being such a fool. Letting go a good woman like her.
Mike is watching TV right now. A police officer reports that situation has been controlled. The female terrorist has been killed.
M16 and ex CIA agents aren't reported in the police report. As usual, the police department took all of the credits.
Mike asks, "What would you do if you were Hanks? Leaving the country or kept doing the terror?"
Jack sits on a couch in front of him.
He responds, "If I were him, I wouldn't stop. Too much has been lost..."
"I'm afraid so. Chrissy's death would only escalate everything."
Jack rubs his face.
Maybe if he had quit M16, his love life with Nina would be very different.
