CHAPTER 6: Can't Sleep

After realizing just how tired I was and at how late it was getting when I said 'goodnight' to Ally before sending her away, I decided to catch up with her and head downstairs in the elevator.

Though while in there it was really hard not to check her out the corner of my eye and was extremely hard not to touch her or make out with her.

After telling me she had a ride. I was trying to think of what else to say when my phone went off and as soon as I took it out to answer, I immediately regretted it and really wished I had seen who it was first.

Then the next thing I heard was the DING! noise from the elevator as the doors open amd we both head out towards our cars and she says goodnight to me one more time.

I had forgotten I was even on the phone with this random girl I met a few nights ago. I usually tune her out anyways in general.

Not to mention I was really irritated that she interrupted....Well actually, there was nothing being interrupted. Fuck.

"No I'm still here. That sounds great. I'll come get you in a few minutes." I tell the girl while I watch Ally get in the truck and drive off. Fuck I want her so bad.

For the next month, it seems as though Ally has been doing really good and has caught on to how things are around here. Even though she has been on my mind all the time and it has been real hard at times to concentrate.

Not to mention the few times I heard she has gone out with Drake to a bar or place and whenever I would head over and hang out so she didn't see me, I noticed that she wasn't being asked a lot to dance but then when she was, some prick would have his hands all over her and I would get extremely mad and want to punch his face in but I knew I couldn't do that at the same time. So I just took some random girl home and did what I do best. Knowing I can't ever have Ally.

I don't know what the hell she's doing to me but I can't stop thinking about her no matter what I'm doing or where I'm at. I hate taking as many cold showers as I have been needing to. Believe it or not, I have been doing more of those than sleeping with random girls.

Tonight, I was looking over a few last contracts that I needed to read and sign for these recent clients I had a meeting a few weeks ago with along with some documents in a couple emails I needed to finish reading.

My eyes were getting tired and I decided that since it was midnight, I needed to stop for the rest and close my laptop.

I soon realized that I wasn't tired, though I'm usually not that tired in general most of the time but still. So I went into the kitchen and tried to look for something to eat but it looks like I haven't gotten any groceries yet so I think for a moment before I think of an opened 24/7 diner that's on a corner a few blocks from where I live.

When I park and head inside, the lady, Gloria that's always there when I am and her among everyone else knows me already, greets me and sits me at the counter and tells the cook my usual.

I like Gloria. She's a breath of fresh air and is in her late fifties with dark brown died hair with tanned skin and is like a mother to me.

While I sit there, she brings me some coffee and as I start pouring some creamer in, I take a drink and take a look around and take notice at how empty it looks.

At least that was until I spotted Ally sitting a small booth by herself looking worried as she looks down at her cell phone real quick and then puts it back onto the table while looking out the window.

I look ahead of me and take another drink of coffee before I decide to do something that I'm not sure in how it'll end but what the hell.

So I get up and carry my mug over towards her and then see her turn her head and look at me coming towards her, she goes from looking worried to confused and a little uncomfortable?

"You can't sleep either or are you waiting for someone?" I asked.

I kept repeating to myself though that she would say it was the first one.
