CHAPTER 23: Hear Me Out

While laying in bed with Ally asleep in my arms, I can't seem to sleep knowing what my father told me earlier in the office. I can't believe he had threatened me in the way that he did.

I slowly get up without waking Ally and slip on my boxers then head out to the kitchen to grab some water.

After grabbing a bottle of water and taking a few drinks from it, I then take a seat at the dining table and open up my laptop and take a look at what my father sent me and discussed with me from earlier in my office.

I next hear my phone vibrate on the table next to me and see it's my dad. I shouldn't answer. I don't want to answer it but I know at the same time I have to. So I take in a deep breath and let it out before I answer it.

"Hello?" I say quietly.

"Couldn't sleep?" My dad says.

"We both know why I can't." I reply.

"Have you had time to decide?" He asks.

"I can't do it. It will hurt Ally and I ca-won't do it." I tell him.

"You do know what can happen if you turn this down?!" He threatens.

"Why are you doing this dad? I mean, for fuck sake, I am your son! Mom never would have approved of this!" I tell him.

"Well she isn't here is she? Besides, you leave her out of this! You knew this day was coming. It isn't my fault you found some...." He began but I stopped him.

"Watch it!" I warn him.

"You REALLY need to think about what will happen to her if you DON'T follow through with this. If you really do love her and care about her, you'll do this." My dad says.

I think for a moment as I look across the room at my closed bedroom door and think about Ally. I want to scream, yell and even punch the shit out of my father for doing this but I do know what he is capable of.

"Alright. I'll do it. But make sure Stan stays the hell out of this. Cause whatever deal you and him have going on between you two, I don't care about. Also, his contract with this company is terminated. Make sure he understands that." I tell him.

"Fine. Consider him terminated with the company. I will draw up the forms for him to sign and send them right over to you in a few days." He says.

"Okay." I say and then hang up.

Oh my god what the hell did I just now do? I just made a deal with the devil I feel. But at the same time, if I don't agree to this with my dad, things will be worse for Ally and I can never let anything ever happen to her.

I quickly try and rub my eyes to keep the tears from falling and pull myself together before walking back into the bedroom and cuddling up with Ally again.

It's been a few days now since I made the deal with my dad and have been trying to hide any of the emotions I have towards him from Ally because I can't tell her what's going on. Not until I can figure out how to fix this.

Ally last night had stayed at her apartment because she wanted to hang out with Drake while I decided to get some space cleared for me to tell her tonight after a nice dinner that I wanted her to move in with me.

I had called up my dad last night and told him to fuck off and to stay the hell away from me and Ally. I knew that wouldn't be the last I'd hear from him or anything but I refuse to risk losing Ally. So hopefully, if she accepts moving in with me, I will feel better knowing that I can protect her.

I was a little nervous as to what she might say and hoped I wasn't going to be moving too fast, but I wanted to be with her and I want to make sure she's always safe and okay. In a non-smothering way of course. I really do love waking up next to her.

So today, I came into work a little late because I had stopped by at first to make a copy of the key to my place and as soon as I walked off the elevator onto my floor, everyone was whispering and snickering about something as they all looked at me and then at their tablets and phones and computers. What the hell was going on?! Even some of the sluts that work on this floor were eyeing me up and down and giving me a seductive look more than usual.

As I started walking towards my office, I started looking at the computers on people's desks and noticing they were looking at some pictures of me and Ally making love while someone else had a video clip? What the fuck? How did.....Oh my god.

I quickly ran out of the office and immediately started to head over to Drake's and Ally's apartment to explain. Although I have no idea in how to explain and convince her that this wasn't me. 

I hope she hears me out. Even though I expect the worse to happen.
