Romeo's POV:

I was listening to Justin rambling on about what I'd missed so far as we walked to the old abandoned gym.

I didn't really care. I don't even know what I'm still doing at this hellhole.

Yeah, I'm the star quarterback of the school's football team, but it meant jack to me now.

I loved football, don't get me wrong, but I didn't want to make it a full term thing.

"Did you hear about the new girl?", Justin suddenly asked.

New girl? What bloody new girl?

"No, I just got here, remember?", I said in a 'duh' tone.

He rolled his eyes and continued on with his story.

"You should've seen her. She's a feisty one.", he said, a glint of amusement in his eyes.

Just then the gym door opened to reveal the prettiest girl I've ever seen with a cigarette in her hand.

"Oh really?", she asked, before blowing smoke in our faces.

"Yeah, you stood up to Cara twice, you even breaking her nose.", Justin said, excitely.

He was carrying on as if he'd just met his favourite band's lead singer.

I stared at the brunette in front of me and then shrugged.

There was no way, this little girl had stood up to Cara.

She looked way too gentle to be able to do that.

"I know, I was there.", she said, flicking the cigarette away.

"Oh great, a smart ass.", I muttered to myself.

"Is it true that you got called into the principal's office?", Justin asked.

"Yep.", she smirked.

I blinked a couple of times when I heard that.

Day one and already stood up to Cara twice and went to the principal's office? Oh boy...

"And that you walked out of Mrs. Caster's class?", he asked again.

"Yeah.", she said, now examining her royal blue polished nails.

Bad girl alert. Maybe I was wrong about her. This girl was extreme.

"Damn, girl, you definitely need to start hanging out with Lily Daniels and her friends.", Justin said.

My head snapped in his direction and I glared at him.

"This girl isn't going near my sister.", I said with force.

"This girl's got a name.", the girl glared at me.

"Oh yeah? What is it then?", I asked.

"Trouble!", someone yelled from the direction of the main building.

"That's my queue. I'm gonna love and leave you boys now.", she said with a smirk and started to walk away.

She walked about ten steps before she turned back to me.

"Oh and Daniels? I already know your sister. See you soon.", she said, before disappearing around a corner.

"Dude, that girl is one of a kind.", Justin said.

I just huffed in response and went into the old gym.

The light caught on something shining on the bleachers and I went to go see what it was.
