Juliet's POV:
I woke up with a massive headache and a massive heartache.
I still felt hurt by Braydon's betrayal and leaving my home.
I wanted to turn back and go home, but I didn't want to see Braydon or his...wife again.
I still couldn't believe he did that to me.
But that was in the past now and I was going to move on.
Should be easy, right?
I sighed and stood up. I took a quick shower and got dressed in my uniform.
I was still supposed to wear it for the next week in public.
I had no idea why, but I was just going to follow orders.
It's what I did best these days anyway.
I pulled my hair into a low side bun and then put my cap on.
When I was ready, I got my bag and then left the room.
I went the motel and got in my car.
I tossed my bag to the passenger seat and then drove off.
Just then my phone rang. I looked at the number, but didn't recognize it.
I left it and continued to drive on home.
I still had an four hour drive ahead of me until I was finally home.
That speeding last night really knocked off the hours.
I was currently driving as fast as the law would allow.
The further I got from that snake, the better I would feel.
My phone kept ringing, but I didn't pick it up.
For all I know, it was that snake's wife calling me to yell at me or something.
By now, the whole military board most likely knew about what he did.
I kind of felt sorry for him. It wasn't a pretty sight to see when everyone was going to find out.
It was going to be a killing and a half for him.
There had been two previous infidelity cases while I was there and it had been brutal.
I shook my head to clear my head and pulled over.
My phone rang again and I nearly groaned.
What could be so important that they couldn't just leave me alone?
I picked up the phone from the passenger seat and answered it.
"Hello?", I asked annoyed.
I was greeted by a shriek that had me almost flinging my phone through the window.
"What the hell?", I muttered and held the phone away from my ears.
"Juliet! I heard from Lily that you're coming back home to go to varsity with us. Is that true?!", someone shrieked.
Who the fuck was this even and how'd they get my number?
"Juliet? It's me. Theresa.", the person said and I mentally face palmed myself.
"Oh, yeah sorry. Yes, I'm on my way home right now.", I said her.
"That's so cool! I can't wait to see you! You're probably going to visit Justin in the hospital first though.", she said and I frowned.
"Why's Justin in the hospital? Is he sick?", I asked worried.
I guess I sounded like a worried mother or something.
"I guess no one told you then. He was in a car accident about a week or so ago.", Theresa told me.
I was in shock, but it did explain why I couldn't reach him.
"Is he going to be okay?", I asked.
"Yeah. It was pretty serious, but the doctors said that he was lucky.", she said and I could hear the sadness in her voice.
I rubbed my forehead to try and ease my increasing headache.
"In what hospital is he? I'm going to stop by there first.", I told her.
"He's in North Hill hospital.", she told me, but I could tell she wasn't telling me something.
"What else?", I asked directly.
"Well, he's in a coma and the doctors don't know when he'll wake up or even if he'll wake up.", she said.
"But you just said that he was going to be fine.", I said confused.
"Yeah, he will be fine, but we just don't know when he'll wake up.", she said.
I sighed and my headache just seemed to get worse by the second.
"Are you at the varsity already?", I asked as I tried to steer the subject away from Justin.
"Yeah, Lily had managed to get you guys rooms next to mine. So we can have loads of sleepovers.", she squealed.
"Great, I'll get Lily to send me all the info and everything like that. But anyway, I'll see you soon. I got to run.", I said and we said our goodbyes, before she hung up.
I put my phone on silent and threw it onto the passenger seat before starting the car again and driving off.
I was driving on the brink of the speed limit again.
I just wanted to get to the hospital and make sure that Justin was okay before I went home.
So much to do and so little time and motivation to do it.
Everything seemed to be falling apart again.
I just hoped that I wouldn't be tempted into bad habits again this time.
