Juliet's POV:

We were taken into the building and led to what looked like a dining hall.

"Welcome everyone. I'm Sergeant Hunter. I will be in charge of looking after you guys for the next year.", the leader of the group of soldiers said.

Wait, back up for a sec. Did he just say a year? I was stuck here for the next year?

"Petty Officer Jane is handing out your dorm room assignments and shedules.", Hunter said.

I got mine and to hold in a groan. Were they crazy?

According to this shedule, we did fitness with Petty Officer Jane from 3am to 7am everyday.

That followed breakfast till eight. Then we had room inspection till nine.

Then the kids that were still in school went to classes until 3pm.

That was followed by hand to hand combat training with Corporal Dean until 7pm.

Then it was dinner until eight. Followed by lights out at 9 pm.

And that was the routine for every day. Even the weekends.

On the weekends, school was replaced with more training and stuff.

Ugh. So going to die here. Now, I was more determined than ever to escape this hellhole.

"The Future Soldier's Program is designed for those of you who have a passion for helping to protect our great nation. We expect only the best from you.", Hunter said again.

Passion to protect? More like forced by our parents cause we hate rules.

"Work hard, train harder and be the best you can be. We expect excellent performance in both school and on the training field. And remember, from here on out, you are future soldiers. The future protectors of our country.", he said and everyone applauded.

I rolled my eyes as one of the same woman from the bus stepped forward.

"Alright, settle down guys.", she said and everyone quieted down.

"I'm Petty Officer Brown. I'm in charge of the rules and the punishment when you break them.", she introduced.

Oh, she was the rule maker then. That's so awesome. Note the sarcasm.

"Rule one. No sharing dorms with the opposite gender. It is forbidden. Rule two: Respect your fellow cadets and superiors as you will be stuck with them for a long time. Rule three: No coming late for training or classes. You will regret it.", she listed off.

"Rule four: No smoking, drinking or fighting.", she continued and looked straight at me.

Bitch. What is she looking at me for? She doesn't even know me.

"Rule five: No leaving the base grounds without permission or a valid reason.", she finished off her little list and everyone clapped again.

"Right, now that everyone understands that, you can all go to your dorm rooms and unpack. You start your training tomorrow.", Hunter said, before waving us off.

The female officer led the us girls to our dorms, while the men led the guys to their rooms.

My room was the second one on the third floor.

It was an average sized room with a single bed in it.

There were also built in closets, a nightstand and a desk.

It seemed cozy, I guess, but it wasn't really home.

I put my backpack on the bed along with my sunglasses, before going to the en suite bathroom.
