Up the elevator to the ground floor, prepared but unsure of what to expect, the three of them began to traverse the mountain snow. Wind made the journey even tougher as they had to battle with it pushing them back with each step. They held hands as they didn't need any sort of separation at this point.

Forward they continued on their journey, the crunching beneath their feet with each stumbling step. Nothing to see as the thick blanket of snow blinded them to the point, Martha couldn't see past the tip of her nose. The journey was supposed to be short, therefore easy but because of the harshness in weather as they escalated, became difficult. Finally the wind eased up to the point, Jen could now see the facility vaguely. John and Martha already prepared for the worst knowing if they got caught there could be another brainwashing session involved.

The base of operation was not as heavily guarded as they thought. Sure there were a handful of elite looking mercinaries but one, if skillful enough, could slip past security and enter, the down side is that Authermus lurked beyond the mercinaries and you needed to get past it before entering the inner base of operation.

John Martha and Jen came in from the east as the mercinary headed west, but there was no sign of Authermus. They made their way to a door at the side of the base but it was locked. They had to find another way. They became startled as Authermus found them and raised an alarm. Before long they were surrounded by mercinaries, guns pointed towards them and an alarm that sounded off whenever there were intruders.

Out of the midst of the mercs came Michael. Grey hair, lab coat under his fur hooded coat and evil in his eyes.

"so you thought you could just sneak in here anytime you want and not be noticed?," Michael asked

"I know you came here to kill me and by the looks of it, you three found out the secrets of the past," said Michael

"yes we did" shouted Martha.

"and you're a monster for treating humans and animals like this" shouted Jen.

"I'm no monster child.... I'm f***ing Satan" he explained.

"Unfortunately I can't have you running around Willie Nilly with this information" threatened Michael.

"Authermus, take care of them!, leave the boy barely breathing, his life is mine to take!" Michael commanded.

Authermus grand charged towards John firstly. Martha was frozen in place with fright, she couldn't even scream.

Was this how their Journey would end?

The death of a family while an evil genius continued to reak havoc on this earth?

Suddenly Jen stood before John as Authermus was about to slice his throat. Jen's cheek was cut, the warm blood ran one inch down her face before being frozen in place, crystalised. Authermus stopped and couldn't obey Michael's commands. Deep down Authermus knew who Jen was and if she protected someone then it can't kill said person.

But how did Michael control Authermus?

A chip planted in both their heads act as a transceiver but only Michael can send messages to Authermus. Michael commanded Authermus again but he didn't budge. Suddenly Michael grabbed a pistol from a mercinary's hip and shot Jen between her shoulder blades. Authermus retaliated taking Michael's hand clean off still clenching the pistol. Michael screamed in painful agony, blood crystalising before touching the white curtain of snow spread accross the floor.

The mercinaries backed off slightly as they began firing at Authermus but it was too tough. Authermus dissected each and every mercinary until only John Martha Jen and Michael was left. John pulled out his pistol and aimed at his father,

"why dad, tell me why did you do it?" John asked.

"you didn't ruin one life but four, who knows how many more we don't know about.!" John continued.

"Remember when we used to go camping? The great outdoors? Well I loved all the animals, trees etc.. But the poaching was at an all time high and the most beautiful creature, the white mountain wolf was goin extinct. I needed to preserve them, make them tougher. That got me into science. But the possibilities weren't out of reach,i just needed backing from the government. They threw the book at me banning me from any funding at all... My bank cards were frozen, I was left with nothing. I thought you would be my legacy. Continue my work when I was gone, that's why I had to build these facilities. Then after the creation of Authermus I couldn't let you or the host know anything so I gave you both the chance of a normal life. I simulated the wedding to keep you together so I could monitor you. Then Authermus escaped and far out of reach of my chip, caused the incident that followed. I thought you were dead. Your heart stopped so I sent u to the morgue and I lost all contact since then. Then you decide to f***ing journey like a 90's children's cartoon and kept solving mysteries of your past!," Michael explained.

John had heard enough, the explosive sound followed by a flash of light had brought Michael to his knees. The blacket of the snow covered his feet as he began coughing blood that immediately froze. Jen couldn't stand another moment of this monster breathing so she commanded Authermus to finish him any way it liked. Authermus sliced and ripped open Michael's stomach devouring his intestines while he screamed in agony, but before Authermus finished, Michael's heart raced off until finally, cardiac arrest.

Before John left the laboratory he set a timer that would self destruct the entire facility. The explosion would be so big that the base of operation being so close, would also be destroyed. John, Martha, Jen and Authermus had to traverse back down the mountain to get out of harms way before the timer reached zero. Luckily Michael's getaway chopper pilot  had no clue of the incident and landed in time. They boarded the chopper while Authermus swiftly ran down the mountain.

The helicopter took off swiftly leaving the mountain, Authermus became smaller and smaller in the distance. The labratory exploded in cinematic fashion causing the base of operations to be destroyed also, then covered by an avalanche just as John planned. There was no sign of Authermus and no way of knowing if it survived. It is safe to say the twisted, inhumane saga of the great Professor Michael F Johnson had come to an abrupt violent end.
