We tried and tried. We went through several injections and tries. We tried 3 times. Over and over. This was frustrating. I wanted us to have more. I wanted to be pregnant so bad. It felt impossible and pointless now. Mateo was 7 months and getting so big.
It was a few months later and the doctor had me trying hormone shots and everything. This time we were going through an egg retrieval. the donors sperm was going to be implanted with my eggs.
The surgery was today. Mateo was with his dad. It was just me and Gabby. We got settled. The egg retrieval was going to happen. Gabby kissed me " you'll do great babe."
A few hours later
The doctor came out " we got 2 eggs..." I looked at him " what does that mean..." He looked at me " She has a shot.... I'm hopeful but there are risks and it might not work..." I looked at him " I understand but I know Leslie would want to take the chance and risk and I have to stand by that."
