I knocked on my new Chief's door! He Yelled " ya come in..." I opened the door " Hi Chief I'm Gabby Dawson... the new paramedic!" He nodded " yes from 51.." I nodded " yes sir!" He smiled " ya I'm Chief Doty!" I smiled " nice to meet you sir!" He directed me into his office " please sit.." I sat down " ok..." He looked at me " you left a great house I hear..." I nodded " I did... but you know sometimes change is good.." He looked at me " and so I come to understand that your 5 months pregnant..." I nodded " 22 weeks sir!" He looked at me " well congratulations... I just hope this doesn't cripple you with the job!" I nodded " I'll do my best Chief!" He nodded "ok Dawson why don't you go meet the guys!"
I met my partner first " Anne O'Harra nice to meet you Gabby!" I smiled " like wise..." She looked at my growing belly, but pretended like she wasn't " so your husband must be happy" I looked at her " oh im not married..." She looked away " I'm sorry..." I looked at her " it's fine... the father is a good friend but for us things just didnt work out..." She looked at me " oh you don't have to explain..."
and the bells went off out we go...
