Meanwhile at Murguol, after willingly submitting to the dark side, Waldo Zar became the newest member of the Seven Grimoires, now the Eight Grimoires.
Waldo as released from prison. He was taken to a new room built just for him.
"Behold, you're new bedroom. A whole temple filled with gold and treasure, just for you," said Shadowking.
The room was decorated with murals, treasure, a luxury pool, video games, TV, a computer, and other cool things. From a cell to this, who knew?
"The Dark Power rewards his disciples with gifts of unimaginable worth. We, the disciples, will be the only ones to survive the End of Days. You cannot double cross us. You have willingly sold your soul to me, so double crossing is impossible," said Shadowking.
"All these things, for me?! From a cell to this?!", said Waldo.
"Welcome, Eighth Grimoire! From now on, your name is Nazkwei Molochson, not Waldo Zar," said Shadowking.
"What about William Tecumseh Sherman Zar?", said Waldo.
"Not acceptable! Now, to become a Grimoire, you must sign this form!", said Shadowking.
He gave Waldo a paper with a quill, but no ink.
"Hold on, where is the ink?!", said Waldo.
"It's your blood, of course," said Shadowking.
He gave Waldo a knife.
"Of course, I have to sign with my blood?!", sighed Waldo.
"Yes, sacrifice is our tradition! Sacrifice must be made daily to our Master! Sacrifice is our form of money! Sacrifices in blood, friends, enemies, dogs, cats, pets, and humanity must be made to serve the greater good," said Shadowking.
Waldo held the knife. He slid the knife across the palm of his left hand. He felt a lot of pain. Blood was dripping from his hand onto the paper. He grabbed the quill, dipped it in his blood, and signed the paper.
"May Nousaurong's will be done!", said Waldo.
"Excellent! Now enjoy your gifts! We will meet at dinner for our Dinner of Sacrifice! Then we will attack SAFE!", said Shadowking.
Shadowking left and closed the door to Waldo's new room. Waldo was all alone, living like a king. He looked around on his computer, seeing if he could gain information on the Cult. Waldo smiled.
"Thought you could get me to do whatever you wanted, old creep? Well, I'm smarter than to fall for your lies," Waldo said to himself.
Waldo was playing the double agent. He pretended to work for Shadowking.
He found something. It was about the Cult's plans. It was a planned full frontal assault on not just SAFE, but on all of the Freedlands.
Then he found something else, a plan on how the Cult would kill the Allied Forces. The Cult had possession of a Relic known as Nemesis, a magic staff that had the power to make create an evil clone out of someone. These clones have the exact powers as the original people.
"Nemesis?! This could change everything!", said Waldo.
Waldo also found that the Cult forged a deal with a group of criminals known as the Bloodskull Order, a group of 20 professional assassins who were responsible for the fall of entire cities.
He also found that the Cult had possession of another terrifying weapon, the Syengardium Nuke. The Syengardium Nuke was a nuclear bomb that had the explosive power of an exploding supernova combined with the implosive power of a blackhole. The Cult planned to detonate this weapon of mass destruction in Oridia City. This was how the Cult planned to eradicate Oridia!
He had to tell the Allied Forces of these plans! The Cult had it all figured out! If they take the Astrogem from the Oridian Vaults, and then destroyed the city using the Syengardium Nuke, the Multiverse would be as good as dead! Oridia will be destroyed, and Nousaurong would return! Plus, the Cult now had the power to clone their enemies, and they hired 20 professional super-assassins to kill them!
However, Waldo knew Shadowking was watching him, both telepathically and on some sort of camera. So he had to use Astrojitsu.
He focused on meditating. His Astral Projection came out of his body. According to ancient texts on Astrojitsu, the Astral Projection is capable of using mirrors as teleporters.
So Waldo flew through a mirror. He arrived at SAFE.
He saw Jack walking. When Jack saw Waldo, he cried.
"You're alive!", said Jack.
"Jack, listen to me! I'm not actually here! I'm here in my Astral Projection!", said Waldo.
"Oh yeah, I forgot you had that ability! Are you imprisoned still?", said Jack.
"No, kinda! Listen, the Cult is trying to turn me to the dark side! They're trying to deceive me, and their methods are quite effective! Apparently and unknowingly, I have sold my soul to Shadowking! That's not all, I'm working as a double agent! I have found some important information that may turn the tides of the war!", said Waldo.
"What is it?", said Jack.
Suddenly, Waldo's head began hurting. Waldo's Astral Projection flew back through the mirror and into Waldo's body on its own!
He was back in his room full of gold in Murguol!
He heard a voice in his head. It was Shadowking.
"Trying to send spoiler alerts, are we? That's not nice," laughed Shadowking.
Then he saw Shadowking, even though he wasn't there!
"What did you just do?!", said Waldo.
"I pushed your Astral Projection back into your body. Did you seriously think I would fall for your trap? You've grown to learn how to manipulate people, how to make them do your bidding unintentionally, even manipulating a professional manipulator like myself. However, you fell into my trap too. That letter you signed wasn't just a registration form for joining the Cult........it was an agreement strictly between you and me...........an agreement saying that you have sold your soul to me. You are forever going to be my puppet. Mwhahahahaha!", laughed Shadowking.
"NO!!!!!!!! YOU TRICKED ME, YOU DEMON!!!!!!", screamed Waldo.
"Yes, you've signed a taboo! We are now connected, Waldo, as puppet and puppet master! I may have fallen for a simple trick, but you have fallen into a complex and elaborate trap!", said Shadowking.
Shadowking disappeared.
