Chapter Twenty One: The Grudge

Back at Oridia, King Stalin had banished Lionhearted. He still sat in his room of gold and did nothing about the Cult attacks happening everywhere. Everyone eventually heard of what happened with him and Lionhearted. The Council took matters into their own hands, so they held a meeting with Stalin. However, Stalin had a trump card against them, he was a councilman himself.

Remember, it's the Oridian Council's duty to oversee the actions of the king. A king can only be stopped by the Council if all the members vote against him. If it's off against even one vote, the Council is powerless. Since Stalin is a councilman, he can vote for or against himself. So naturally, the Council was powerless.

The Council consisted of 20 Councilmen, including Stalin. Two were even part of the Eight Elemental Gods of the Multiverse: Aquaking (God of water) and Falcon (God of Air). The other 18 were Mortals, Eternals, or Immortals.

Falcon, Aquaking, Stalin, and a man named Iscariot were the chairmen of the Council.

Iscariot was an old man with long black hair and a long black beard. He had an malevolent appearance to him. He wore black robes. He wore five golden rings on each of his fingers on both hands. He looked like someone sneaky and not to be trusted. He was a grasping and covetous old man.

All of them sat around a table.

"This makes no since, Stalin! You cannot banish your heirs to the throne! Only the Council reserves such power! King Exzar enacted that law himself, and you cannot go against the words of our savior and founding father! Might I add, he created us as a whole! No one can violate King Exzar's constitution!", said Falcon.

"Our decision of putting you on the throne was ill advised!", said a Councilman.

"I AM YOUR KING NOW, NOT EXZAR!!!!!!!!! WHEN I SAY SOMETHING, I MEAN IT!!!!!!!! THINGS ARE CHANGING NOW!!!!!!!! FATHER'S CONSTITUTION IS GONE, MY CONSTITUTION HAS BEEN ENACTED!!!!!!!! ORIDIA IS A JOKE, A MERE LAUGHINGSTOCK OF THE POWER IT ONCE HAD!!!!!!!", screamed Stalin.

"I hate to side with our criminals, but they have a point! Oridia must face facts, and you don't do that! Historical evidence actually states that Oridia has been getting better and better until you came along! For eons under the Neron Dynasty, we experienced life and plenty! Facts point at you contradicting yourself! You are not making Oridia great again, you're making Oridia terrible again! What was so great about Oridia before? We were oppressed peoples of Nousaurong, hardly anything great! Ever since we won the God Wars, we've soared in terms of military might, science, medicine, economy, and stability. You, King and Chairman, have spoiled that soaring! Society has devolved because of your actions!", said Aquaking.

"What was so great about us before, I'll tell you! After Exzar won the God Wars, the Sanvulcans were no more! We emerged as the dominant power! We could've taken control of the entire Multiverse, we had such power at the time! With those Sanvulcans gone, our supremacy would've been unchallenged! One by one, civilizations could've been ours! But Exzar turned away from such possibilities and gave up the throne, without being forced to! Since then, we never had an opportunity like that again! I wish to make Oridia as great as it was under Exzar's rule!", said Stalin.

"You're talking about violent conquests! Oridia was not built on such things!", said a Councilman.

"I agree, there is absolutely no reason why to begin such expansions! We'd be no different than Nousaurong himself! The Magna Carta states that explicitly!", said another Councilman.

"Besides, our empire is actually shrinking in terms of size since you became king! Cult attacks and destruction of property by our own hands have caused people to question our leadership! It's only a matter of time until rebellions actually DO happen! I know you focus on the Drow Community, but face it, now is not the time for that! What you're doing is illogical! Besides, I don't want our government to go down in history as mass murderers because of you!", said Falcon.
