From Odell:
left your iPad in my car

Cas was on the phone with Odell when her car got a flat tire a few evenings later. Even after she told him no, Odell showed up thirty minutes later to help her put on the spare and then followed her to the Audi dealership to drop it off for a new tire.

To Odell:
Really?! I was looking everywhere for it. Thanks so much. I'll get it later.

From Odell:
Sounds important. Will bring to you.

To Odell:
That's ok. Almost everything is backed up on my laptop. You don't need to go out of your way.

From Odell:
No prob. Not out my way. You at lunch? Might be better if I don't stir things up around your clinic again today lol

To Odell:
Good idea lol. I'm at lunch.

From Odell:
Just send your location. I got a min. I'll bring it now. Brighten your day a bit with my irresistible smile 😉

To Odell:
Cocky 🙄 Lol

"That's him?" With a deep frown set on his face, Jonas Hargrove watched Cassandra smile down at her phone.

"Uh... yeah." Cas set the phone to the side after sending their location to Odell. "He's just coming to drop my iPad off."

"So are you actually dating this guy?" Jonas raised an eyebrow suspiciously as he sat across from her at a local deli down the street from the hospital.

Cassandra had been avoiding the hot topic of Giants' wide receiver, Odell Beckham Jr, with her colleagues as much as possible. But she knew she was not going to be able to avoid it with Hargrove forever.

Dr. Jonas Hargrove was tall, dark, and very handsome, and though he initially gave off a warm and humble vibe, after deeper conversation it was obvious just how much he actually thought about himself.

Back when they dated, his enormous ego turned Cas off immediately. Truthfully, she only remained friends with him because there were so few black physicians in the area around her age, and though at times his insensitive arrogance really made her want to slap him silly, they also had some good conversations.

They went to lunch whenever they both had the rare free hour during the day, and back when she was actively trying to date, she had been on a couple of double dates with Jonas, his girlfriend, Kate, and whichever one of their lucky friends they were attempting to hook her up with at the moment.

"We met in Italy and we're friends now." Cas replied vaguely, absentmindedly moving her food around her plate with a fork.

"Friends huh?" Jonas's frown deepened further, as he watched her skeptically. "So you expect me to believe that you spent an entire night alone in Italy with ol dude and nothing went down between the two of you?"
