Quinn watched as Chelsea led Maddie up the sairs, ropes tied to her wrist as she was bound to Chelsea so she wouldn't run away.
Quinn's lips twitched into a small smile before it was replaced with a frown.
She was so close to victory but it didn't seem right. Something was missing.
She didn't like the sudden doubt she had I'm herself. She could do this. She could prove herself to her mother. She would make her proud.
She'd finally prove herself as the true daughter of the Queen of Hearts. Not Maddie. Her.
The thought of anything happening to Maddie disheartened her. She didn't want to see her hurt. The hatred she had for her had died down. Now it was a mere disliking. She didn't see her as her enemy anymore.
She couldn't hate her even. It didn't feel right. For the first time in her life she saw Maddie as her sister. For the first time in her life she loved Maddie.
Did she want to take over Auradon or was that just Uma wanted? Uma was her friend and she'd always stuck by her.Was she the one who wanted revenge? Revenge was something Uma had always wanted. Maybe this was all Uma's plan, nt her own. Maybe this was what Uma wanted and she'd adopted it as her own. Maybe she never had a plan. Maybe she was foin gn to prove herself to someone who wasn't there.
Her father.
She wanted to prove herself to someone who'd never been apart of her life. She wanted to believe that if he loved Maddie he would love her too. If he'd loved her mother in all her craziness.
A part of her wanted to believe that he could love her. That there was someone out there who cared for her well being. Sure her mom cared in her own way. But she wanted someone who cared about her more than she did herself. She wanted her dad.
She wanted him not because Maddie had him. She'd gotten over that. He hadn't had a choice. Her mother had taken her and he'd taken Maddie even if they both wanted to keep them both and be a family.
That hadn't happened. The bitch known as the White Queen ratted then out. Quinn still couldn't believe that Alice had tried to help her mother after all she'd put her through. Because it had been the right thing to do. Quinn didn't know what the right thing to do in this situation was but she wanted to believe she was doing the right thing. Even if her heart thought otherwise.
There had to be another way. There had to be something else. This couldn't be the only option.
They could be a family again. There had to be another way. There had to be something she could do that could bring them all together.
If she ever met the White Queen she'd have a few choice words for her.
"Hey guys." Heather said as she entered the Shoppe. "You're going to be late."
"It's eleven fifty two." Chelsea said. "We have enough time."
"You guys are the worst at keeping time." Heather said. "Now come on let's go."
"Do not rush us." Quinn said, waving her hand dismissively. "Where have you been anyway? We haven't seen you in awhile."
"You saw me yesterday." Heather said. "I don't know what your talking about."
"Am I not interesting enough for you?" Quinn asked. "Am I not enough? Did you have to go to the Chip Shoppe instead of staying here?"
"No you are very interesting." Heather said. "And you are enough. My brother just likes being there and likes to make sure I'm safe and haven't done anything stupid which I have no idea what he means by that."
"I guess we'll never know." Quinn said with a shrug, as Heather purses her lips together.
"Oh stop it you two." Chelsea said, waving her free hand in the air. "We don't have time for your arguing. Though I don't know what you are arguing about. Can we just go?"
"No:" Quinn said. "I'm not done. How dare you choose Uma over me. I thought you were my friend."
"I was." Heather said. "But you said that we were fighting and I'm just playing your little game."
"Aww you did that just for me?" Quinn said, placing a hand over her heart. "I'm touched Heather."
"Yeah don't think much of it."
Heather said. "Chelsea's right. We should get going."Quinn, Heather and Chelsea left the shop with Maddie tied to Chelsea's wrist. They made their way toward the docks, boarding Uma's ship.
Uma's ship had been wrecked long ago well a month ago after she and Mal had had a duel over a trident and well she lost. Not that that was a surprise.
She tied Maddie to a post watching Harry circle around Ben, their beloved king. The king made a face at Sam who stuck her tongue out at him.
It caused him to laugh, stopping when Harry's hook came dangerously close to his face. Sam pushed his wrist back, earning a pout from Harry. Quinn really didn't know what it was about.
"I just wanna hook him." Harry said. "Is that too much to ask?"
"It is." Sam said. "Stop being a baby and wait until it's noon."
Harry shrugged, pulling his wrist out of Sam's grip, disappearing behind the post Ben was tied on. He came back around again, his arms wrapping Sam's waist, placing his chin on her head.
Ben winked at Sam, who rolled her eyes at him. Quinn had no idea what this was about. Perhaps Ben knew something she didn't. She'd ask Sam later not that she'd tell her. Sam never told her anything. Sam didn't even trust her anymore and she wanted to change that.
She'd done some pretty dumb things. She'd lost a friend who'd stuck by her for the longest time. She was her second friend she'd made in her life after Chelsea. They'd met at Evie's sixth birthday party where she had then been banished along with her mother for ten years.
She needed to fix a wrong before it got any farther.
"Guys!" Gil called. "They're here."
