Katie's POV

He's gone. I'll never see him again. I want to say he's in a better place now, but I can't, I'm too selfish. I want him here, on earth.

Ryder's POV

I don't know where I'm going, but I'm leaving. I'm running as fast as I can away from the place I met Katie. I won't be missing anything. Katie the girl I've only known for a week, is dead.

Katie POV

I mope to my house. Why couldn't it have been me? Why aren't I dead?! I should have been the one in that car accident.

Ryder's POV

I'm in the middle of the woods, no idea where I'm going but I'll know when I get there.

"KATIE!!" I yell at the top of my lungs just to get it out of my system.

I look around, I'm lost. I sink to my knees and cry my heart out. When I open my eyes I get a surprise.

Katie POV

I get my pup pad out. Find his face.

"Hey pups... uh" How are you supposed to tell innocent puppies their owner is dead?

"Katie! What's wrong?" I hear Marshall say.

"It's Ryder"

Ryder's POV

"Marshall? What are you doing in the middle of the forest?"

"My names not Marshall, but good guess! Weird, I have a brother named Marshall." The pup looks exactly like Marshall, but with a girl's voice.

"What are you doing out here all alone?" I ask her.

"I'm not alone" She says but quickly covers her mouth.

"Where do you live?" I ask.

"How do I know your not a dog catcher?" She asks.

"When was the last time you saw a dog catcher come all the way out here?"

"I'm looking at one right now." She says.

"I'm not a dog catcher! Dog catchers have nets and leashes." A German Shepherd who I would think was Chase if he didn't have that rip in his ear. He smells around the way Chase does and walks right up to me and growls.

"Where are you keeping them?!"

Chase's POV

My paw starts twitching. When my paw twitches it means one of my brothers are in trouble. I doesn't matter now. I'm miles away from them, by the time I get there they would already be dead or my paw would stop twitching.

Of corse it has to twitch now. Right while I'm grieving over Ryder's death. Marshall, Katie, Skye and I are all at the lookout tower crying on each other's shoulders.

Ryder's POV

"Who?! I'm not keeping anybody anywhere!" I say.

"You know who!" He says grabbing the collar of my shirt and surprisingly pulling me all the way to an abandoned home.

"Who lives in here" I say getting up.

"Us" he says opening the doors to a room full of German Shepherds and Dalmatians running around everywhere.

"Oh my" I say in shock. The whole pace drops dead silent when I walk in.

"He's the one who killed Chase and Marshall." A series of growls and 'get him's arise from the all-aged dogs.
