Jungnkook felt guilty, extremely guilty, so guilty he couldn't even think straight.

The guilt only grew as Taehyung kissed him passionately as they lay in bed later that day.

Jungkook tries to swallow his guilt and kiss Taehyung back with just as much love and affection but it's hard when all that keeps clouding his mind is what he's done.

"Tae," He says pulling away from the kiss.

Taehyung ignores him and kisses his jawline, trailing down to his neck.

"Wait a second, Tae." Jungkook says pushing Taehyung away and sitting up.

Taehyung tilts his head in confusion when Jungkook turns his back to him. He places a hand on his shoulder but Jungkook moves away from his touch and stands.

"I'm sorry, I just...I'm gonna take a shower real quick. I think I'm gonna turn in early, I gotta work in the morning and I'm kinda tired so." Jungkook says standing and grabbing a towel from the closet.

He doesn't turn to see Taehyung's face as he rushes from the room.

Taehyung leans against the headboard with a small pout on his face, what's wrong with him?

Jungkook has never turned Taehyung away before, why was he acting so weird now?

Taehyung thought he had been acting weird all day but he just thought that maybe he was tired, but even if he was he'd never turn him away.

Whatever it was he wanted Jungkook to tell him.

Ever since Taehyung lost his voice Jungkook hasn't been as open to him about how he was feeling or what he was thinking.

Maybe Taehyung was making it more than it was, Jungkook was a busy person since returning to the company so maybe he just didn't have time to tell Taehyung how he felt on the regular, especially after a long day at work.

But he was still becoming distant and Taehyung didn't like it.

When Jungkook returns from the bathroom Taehyung is laying completely covered in the covers, he sighs softly before getting dressed quickly.

He doesn't say anything to Taehyung as he climbs into bed beside and turns his back to him, he didn't mean to be cold towards Taehyung the guilt was just eating him alive at this point.

He feels Taehyung moving so he knows he isn't asleep and he knows he's probably expecting him to explain why he rejected him tonight, but he just pushed the thought away and tried to go to sleep.

He was going to tell Taehyung tomorrow and put an end to all the guilt he felt, even if he lost Taehyung it would be better to be honest with him about this.

It's been a week.

A week, and Jungkook still hasn't mustered up the courage to tell Taehyung what happened.

A week of avoiding Taehyung's touches and leaving the house early and getting back late to avoid his eyes, not only was it weighing heavy on Jungkook it was weighing heavily on Taehyung as well.

Taehyung had absolutely no idea what he could have done to make Jungkook suddenly want to avoid him and it was slowly but surely breaking his heart.

Since Jungkook was avoiding him he was alone most of the time and he couldn't even get a job because of his disability so he was seriously stuck being alone all day.

Jungkook was now at his desk trying to tie the last two loose ends together for his Japan deal, he had gotten a lot of work done in order to keep his mind off of Taehyung and how close he was to losing him.

There's a shy knock on his door as he finishes up.

"Come in." He calls closing the file folder and standing to carry in to the cabinet.

The door opens and out of all people it had to be Haeun.

Jungkook sighs placing the folder in the proper place. "Can I help you?"

"Um, Jungkook, I have to talk to you." Haeun says shutting the door behind her.

"I'm busy right now, Secretary Cho will let you know when I'm free tomorrow if you'd like." He says still trying to be polite.

"This isn't something that can wait, Jungkook~"

"Well it's gonna have to. And I think it's best if we keep everything between us from now on strictly work related. Okay, Secretary Kim?" Jungkook says returning to his desk.

"Jungkook~"

"President Jeon." He corrects as he types away on his computer.

Haeun huffs. "Fine, I'll schedule a meeting."

Jungkook nods. "I'll be glad to speak with you then."

Haeun sighs before turning and walking out of the door.

Jungkook didn't want to be rude, Haeun didn't do anymore wrong than he did, but any type of friendship between them had to end.

Jungkook is busy trying to accurately translate some documents into Korean when he gets a phone call on his cell.

"What?" He answers after reading his mother's number. "I'm busy."

"Well, is that any way to talk to your mother Jungkook?" Ms. Jeon asks.

"Either tell me what you want or I'm hanging up, I'm not in the mood." Jungkook says closing his eyes in annoyance.

"Come to my office, there's one more thing we need to discuss before I return to Busan." She says.

"Just tell me what it is now~"

"My office, now."

The line dies and Jungkook groans before pushing himself from his seat and going to his mother's office.

When he gets there he finds his mother sitting behind her desk, but he doesn't expect to find Haeun sitting down at one of the seats next to her.

"What?" He says, his gaze flickering towards Haeun for a second.

"Have a seat son, we're just waiting on our third party." His mother says without looking up from her work.

"What third party?" Jungkook asks in confusion. "What is this about?"

As if on cue the office door opens and the third party walks in, Jungkook definitely wasn't expecting Taehyung to show up at his workplace.

"Tae?" He says in confusion as the other walks in.

Taehyung's eyes meet his for a second before he drops his gaze and walks over and sits next to Haeun.

"Now, I think we're ready to begin." Ms. Jeon says looking up at her son.

Jungkook stays silent as he looks from Haeun to Taehyung and back to his mother.

This wasn't going to end well at all.
